    any bball IQ plz!

Yao will destroy this team of Mac+Paul, and Paul's asts will go down to 7,
not to mention that Mac wont play in a team without a post player again.

Paul is a point guard and those come a dime a dozen. One good center may come out every 7-8 years.

I think a more worthy question is how can we acquire a top-tier PG for next season? Who is available and is it even a financial possibility with McGrady and Yao's contracts?

Alston has been terrific in recent weeks but we all know that a 1st-tier PG would put this team over the top.

No offense but Yao has not been able to destroy anyone yet without Mac in the team. Maybe Yao with Kobe/Wade or someone like that would be able to beat Mac and Paul's team. Anyways, enough of these hypothetical scenarios, Rockets will not trade Yao for Chris Paul.

    hmm

dominant low post players are MUCH more valuable than perim players.

Yao is the best pivot since Shaq. no one else is close (maybe howard? eh...)

is paul the best perim player? well theres nash, baron, deron, kobe, lebron, tmac, arenas, wade, roy, manu, etc... and theres probably going to be like 5 more phenom guards in the next draft.

lowpost dominance = playoff wins on a championship team
undersized points= fun to watch during regular season

I recall some GM who I forget saying good PGs are rarely traded in this league they need to be drafted or something to that effect.

    what is chandler's ppg? lol.

cp3 is a deserving all star, but i'd rank him behind dwill. there is a reason why sloan passed on him and made dwill #3 pick. and when sloan picks a pg, you don't question why; you study why.

2 out of 3 say Yao should not be traded. That's a pretty emphatic NO to your question.

It's either Chris Paul playing with Yao or Tmac playing with Yao.

It doesn't make any sense to play Paul and Mac together. Paul can't make Tmac better.

When Tracy felt ill, who support the team?
When Yao was in pain, did he left the court? Untill he found out that he got fracture,he had to left in despair.

And NOW,T-MAC is back.YAO is nothing.
Good gay! Kick down the ladder! This is so called ROX Fans.

I vote yes. Let Yao leave.

Funny thing is he would still be faster than Yao.

Not saying I would do the trade although I lean towards yes as much as I love Yao.

Or not. PG's have been traded for C's. It is possible and this trade is intriguing even though it would never happen.

best pivot since shaq isn't saying much. yao's not on the same level as prime shaq, not even close. chris paul, however, is playing championship mvp level ball right now. unless yao reaches the level of dominance of past elite post players, he's no more valuable than perimerter players simply by position.

And every time he lost to a team with a dominant big. So what's your point?

I beleive you missed his. In the prime of all the centers in the NBA Isiah won two championships.

One thing is obvious... Rick Adelman turns point guards play up a few notches. Porter, Bibby, Alston, Williams, Jackson these guys all excelled under Adelman. He boosts the production of that position. Centers... Not so much. Only in passing. And passing centers are rare and overrated. So let Adelman boost the PG rather than going after the great PG. Like Kubiak with running backs. Let the system handle that position. Focus on other spots.

Hell Yeah! I would do the trade in a heartbeat.

Seriously, don't wanna brand everybody a homer, but CP3 is both a younger AND better player than Yao
