born in houston (texas women's hospital) in '87. fan since then
my first memory is sitting in the pavillion at the astrodome watching steve finley catch a fly ball.

94-95 are one of my favorite of childhood memories, cars honking all over the city as soon as the final buzzer sounded, running out to honk the horn... good times.

my vocallity up here at Tech has earned me the nickname "houston" among a few of my friends.

After moving to Texas City from my birthplace in Galveston, I began to listen to my first Rockets games on the radio in 1978.

I now live in Clarksville, TN after being moved around by the US Army. I still watch when I can when I'm not working or when they come on TV. I used to watch them every year when I had Primestar in 99' (now DirecTV) on NBA League pass, but I find the average game in the past years nerve-wracking, so now I only watch when they are on regular TV. Of course, the first year I don't have League Pass, it has been the most relaxing ball games to watch in forever-never.

I started following the Rockets in Hakeem Olajuwon's rookie season after all the excitement from Phi Slamma Jamma. I was about 11 years old at the time.

Back then, couldn't watch the home games on TV because we didn't have cable and a lot of times my dad didn't let me watch the games if they were on late on the road. So I have to listen to Gene Petersen on my crappy clock radio.

I'll never forget the game Hakeem scored 50 pts against seattle in game 6 - it ended at 2:30am in the morning. I was late for school the next day.

I love basketball, the game to me is the perfect coordination of both individual and team talent - it's takes both to be a winner - it's truly a beatiful thing when it all comes together like we're seeing now.

It was worth 10 years to finally see it again.

I'm a long-time Houstonian originally from fabulous Gary, Indiana...I'm of Filipino descent.

I've been a Rox fan since the days of Wiggins, Lew, Petersen, McCray, Leavell, Sampson, Akeem, Lucas and Reid.

I still remember "the shot" of 1986 on CBS. It was insane in my household. I graduated high school that year and man what an event for such a sweet, sweet year.

I remember the trade for Joe Barry Carroll and Sleepy Floyd and their very first game I believe in Denver in 1988 on Channel 20. That ball was moving around crazy like good chemistry at first, prompting Bill Worrell to say something like, "look at these new look Rockets!"

The Nuggets then proceeded to blow them out of McNichols arena later on.

I have shaken hands with Vernon Maxwell at Ballroom back in the Shepherd Plaza days and Sleepy Floyd (at his Caffe Fresco in Sugar Land, long defunct). It was something to see Sleepy take our money off the table as we left...the man who once torched Magic Johnson in the 1987 playoffs for something like 50 plus points in a game. Both are fairly nice guys, I thought.

I saw Horry playing a race car video game at the Richmond Ave Dave & Busters in 1993...but I didn't say anything or go up to him. He didn't look as crowd friendly that night as Vernon did.

I braved a hostile crowd in Orlando in 1991 to see the Magic clobber the Rockets, ending a 13 game win streak (but the Rockets beat Miami the next night). So in 15 games, I saw the one game where they lost.

I braved a hostile but interesting crowd in 1996 Inglewood as Charles Barkley led the Rockets to a thrilling win over the Lakers, Hakeem out for the game. I loved wearing my "HOUSTON" cap in that arena...and I don't wear caps otherwise (I have great hair :) ). I still remember that Japanese-descent chick who...well, what a cramped, greasy-looking stadium the Forum was compared to the bright and clean Summit.

Aside from those, I have the same memories basically as the other Rockets fans...

    I'm from Los Angeles.

I have been a Houston Rockets fan since 1988; I saw the Lakers 1987 video when Ralph Samson hit that magnificent shot that sent the Houston Rockets to the NBA Finals of the year 1986. I thought it was cool how Olajuwon and Samson fearlessly dealt with the onslaught of the magnificent Laker dynasty. :D

I hoping for Clutch City III this year of 2008. ;)
