I'm glad NBC has lost the NBA.

After going 45-37 last year, the Rockets got ZERO games on NBC. Granted, they way they are playing now, it seems fair, but the schedules were made before the season started. Tell me, how can the Rockets get zero games on NBC, while the f****** Utah flopping Jazz get games on NBC two weeks in a row? Who the hell wants to watch that team of dirty flopping bastards two straight weeks? Outside of Utah, how can anyone stand hearing the NBC broadcasters raving about Stockton for two and a half hours? Bloody hell!

ZRB, up until the last couple of yrs I could agree with you, but there was a time not so long ago that everytime we played on nbc we took a ass whipping. 45 wins don't exactly make you world beaters, look how many games the Hornets have had on tv and they made the playoffs last yr. I remember when Utah were making their run at the Finals and Karl Malone crying about how they had 1 game on nbc. Of course they thought the Knicks,Heat,Magic,Lakers,Portland and teams like that would work the ratings better, but I think they did themselves a disservice by not showing exciting teams like the Mavs,Bucks and T'Wolves. I think there ratings would be better showing those teams than the Rockets.

I understand not showing Rockets games, but two Utah games in a row? Utah is hardly a large market. Very frustrating.

I agree with you, 100%, on this ZRB.

I can't even tell you the last time I watched a regular season game on NBC.

It's bad enough that it is either the Lakers, Knicks, or Jazz every week, then you have to put up with their idiotic commentators like Bill Walton or the "Snapper" or studio duds like VecseySux(no, not the BBS member) and Hannah Storm, who is extremely annoying.

I am glad that NBC is being mercifully put out of their misery.

What's the difference? ABC isn't really broadcasting any NBA games next season until the playoffs...even then not as many as NBC did.

Why would any network put these Rockets on? For Francis? The teams contending for the playoffs (and those with Jordan) will always beat out the lottery teams for air time.

Hopefully Francis will have a breakout all-star game on NBC to show the world what they've been missing!

They were playoff contenders when the schedules were made. The Rockets were considered an up-and-coming likely playoff team, while the Jazz were thought to be on the decline (which they are).

Playoff contenders? Barely. I could see NBC maybe scheduleling MAYBE one game tops. Heck, even TNT had them scheduled and dropped them.

Not just people in Utah follow the Jazz. They have a large fan base in surrounding states that don't have anything.

Taking the games away from NBC will do zip for us. The escalating cost of NBA TV contracts is increasing pressure on the winning bidder to weed out games that don't maximize audience and ad revenue. The Rockets do not bring a big audience. This applies no matter who the winning bidder is. None of this will turn around until the Rockets are not just good, but exciting. Francis is part of that equation. Let's hope Griffin is the other.

Okay, I can understand the Rockets NOT being televised, but if that is the case, the Jazz certainly should not be. Last year was supposed to be Hakeem's last year, and NBC still didn't show a game. Yet, they constantly televise Utah games in order to praise "the smart old veterans". The Jazz are about as exciting as a Cavs-Bulls game.

Woo-hoo!! Goodbye NBA-on-NBC conspiracy!! I believe the Rockets have a dreadful regular-season record on televised NBC games, right?

I like the NBA on NBC, hell, I love the theme to the NBA on NBC. I am going to miss it just like I miss football on the peacock. When I mean football, I don't mean that XFL adventure, I meant NFL AFC football.

I don't know about y'all, but I happen to like Hannah Storm at the desk.

I liked having Marvelous call the Finals and the nationally televised game, and I liked it when Bob Cotstas had the nationally televised game.

So now that ABC has it, I would love to see Al Michaels or Mike Tirico call the games.
