Even though I'm not a big believer in prayer or in God overall period (I do believe there's a supreme creator/race that put us here, I just don't know if he's the one we imagine), I'd like to ask everyone for support/prayers/whatever makes you comfortable. My dad went into memorial hermann about 2 weeks ago, bad off. He had 99% or greater blockage in 3 or 4 arteries. Basically, he was a walking tombstone. He had aortic valve replacement coupled with a triple bypass. He was doing fairly well until just yesterday. Now after 2 weeks in ICU, things are a little more bleak. He's caught hospital-acquired pneumonia and blood infections from the same bacteria that caused the pneumonia probably. His kidney's aren't working today since theres so much sepsis (bacteria) in his body. So they've been working on dialysis for the last few hours trying to clean him out so that the antibiotics will actually work again. The next few days are pretty much going to determine whether my dad makes it or not Please pray/hope/whatever you like for my dad. -Travis (tmac640)

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I lost my father when i was 6 and my uncle who raised me passed two weeks ago! Its a hard time to deal with but keep faith and stay strong!
That's tough man, here's hoping for the best for your dad. Just know that your family here on the bbs is behind you.
Prayers his and your way. Keep your chin up- a good attitude in front of him will help bolster his spirit and will help with the healing.
If wishing good luck and a recovery for your father help, you've got it. I've been in a similar situation with my own father, and he made it. He shouldn't have, but he did. Miracles do happen.
Sorry to hear. My grandmother had something similar with several blockages and went on to live 3 more years (died of something unrelated). Prayers are with you.
He passed away today . About 3 hours ago. At least he's no longer suffering. I'm the man of the house at 21
