Maybe on the next interview with Morey, we should ask for Yao's X-ray. Well I hope this conspiracy is true and that Yao is not injured. Maybe they will surprise us and Yao will be playing in the PO.
Did you hear the latest Chinese conpiracy. One of the Rockets players under contract with China (Ha Ye-si) was instructed to injure Carl Landry to make room for a new Chinese star player (Maike Ha-Li-si) to sign with the Rockets. Ha Li-si went to some agriculture college in Southern China that goes by the name of "Rice University" and spent most of his professional career in China and a former Soviet country.
Doctors examine Yi's "injured" wrist By CHARLES F. GARDNER cgardner@journalsentinel.com Posted: March 7, 2008 A season-ending injury to Houston Rockets star Yao Ming sent shock waves throughout China, but now more bad news could be coming. Milwaukee Bucks forward Yi Jianlian traveled to Los Angeles and had his right wrist examined by three doctors on Friday, after the rookie complained about persistent pain in the wrist. Yi was examined by the team's medical staff, but Bucks general manager Larry Harris said Friday, "We felt we wanted to get a couple other opinions." Yi's injury adds to growing concern about the Chinese national team as it starts to prepare for the Beijing Olympics this summer. Yao and Yi are the players expected to lead China's bid to improve upon an eighth-place finish in the 2004 Athens Olympics. Yao underwent surgery Monday to repair a stress fracture in his left foot, and in a letter published Friday in Chinese-language newspapers, the Rockets star told his fans that he planned to recover in time for the Olympics. Yi, who started the first 48 games of the season with the Bucks, has suffered a decline in his performance in recent weeks and also has been bothered by several injuries. He is averaging 8.9 points and 5.3 rebounds in 58 games. "It's kind of an indescribable pain, and that's one of the reasons we wanted him to see so many physicians," Bucks coach Larry Krystkowiak said before the Bucks met the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night. "I think it's probably gotten worse; I don't think it's healed. We had some practices here recently where he couldn't shoot jump shots at the end of practice, because it was bothering his wrist." When the Bucks and Rockets met for the second time this season on Feb. 2, Yi suffered a right shoulder injury early in the game, although he was able to return. He missed the next two games because of the injury. Yi suffered a sprained left ankle Sunday in the Bucks' loss at Indiana, and he sat out Wednesday night as the Bucks beat the Seattle SuperSonics. "I'd say if anything, he wasn't playing well because he was trying to play injured," Krystkowiak said. "Now he's realized it might not be the smartest situation to continue playing. I can't blame him at all." 'Luke' helps Blazers' revival: Former Marquette University star Maurice Lucas has played a key role in the revival of the Blazers. Lucas joined the coaching staff of Nate McMillan in 2005-'06, and Portland won just 21 games in that first season. The Trail Blazers won 32 games last season and matched that total Friday by beating the Bucks. "We're seeing the fruits of our labor," Lucas said. "The first couple years were very tough. We cleaned up the locker room, made some trades and got rid of some folks. As a result, we ended up with a very young team, though." That young squad has plenty of promise, however, with point guard Brandon Roy, forward LaMarcus Aldridge and forward Travis Outlaw. Next season, the Blazers will add No. 1 overall draft pick Greg Oden into the mix. The 20-year-old Oden has been sidelined all season after having microfracture surgery on his right knee. http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=726034
Can't believe how these xenophobic people become writers. I thought journalist training is supposed to get people a bit more objective and open-minded instead. How can it be a "conspiracy" when a player's foot get opened up by a famous American surgeon, actually saw a 5% crack on the bone, some other hair lines and bone spurs, put 3 stainless steel nails there and you call it a freaking conspiracy??? And he is also implying Yi has been risking his career by intentionally suxking for a whole month, faking an injury in order to have more time playing for the "commies". The PRC government doesn't have that much control over players. Their most potent form of control is through mud-slinging a player, labeling him as unpatriotic, and by doing so cutting down his popularity and subsequently the endorsement money, but other than that they don't do that much. Wang zhizhi literally betrayed them for getting green card, playing victim to the US media, dixxing the CNT and he still got back later to play for them when he totally bombed in the NBA (and WZZ is a PRC soldier, by definition). Nowadays with the internet and many fans actually can read English fans can judge who has a case, so this mudslinging strategy doesn't really work too well.
Welll there's not such conspiracy anymore...i think. China had changed alot these last years but I still believe that Yi's not 20 years old. He's more likely to be 24 or more. China would always hide their players real age to participate in junior championships. Btw when/how will I be able to post threads?
so they cut yao open, put in 3 metal pins into his body for no reason? or was the surgery "faked" like the moon landing and elvis's passing
