Micheal - Why he maybe Captain . .or at least a big wig on the boat Penny's dad - Looking for the island - All of a sudden . . . Mike and Walt show up They were on a Downed plane in the general area you been searching They maybe even talk about Ben and the Island Penny's Dad .. . is on the the sceen . . .hushing everything up and keeping Mike and Walt out of the news [Penny's dad got that kind of pull?] Now . . . he needs Mike to take him back there So . . . at worse. . . Mike is the Navigator Ben could have anticipated this . . .and Let Mike know to play along or even sent Mike to Penny's Dad directly Ben maybe Manipulating Penny's Dad to revealing himself or something so Ben can exploit it That is my Theory Rocket River
Ben doesn't want anyone finding the island, so it makes zero sense for him to send Michael straight into the open arms of his enemies on the freighter. (I'm assuming Ben knew about the freighter before letting Michael go.) I like the proposed theory floating around that, somehow, BEN himself is Ben's man on the boat. It's utterly crazy. It's shocking. And it's so like Lost. Every fan is assuming Michael is the spy, and I'm sure the writers/Abrams/Cuse/Lindelof know this. Hell, they helped propagate this rumor themselves in interviews. Leave it up to them to do something wildly different. ... Then again, the spy could just be Michael, and I'm just reading too much into things and/or expecting too much.
Giving this theory the assumption that there are either two Ben's or Ben is somehow in two places at once, if the boat's purpose is to find Ben, why would they let his double wander around their boat?
Ummm, maybe there's an evil twin (or good twin). What was that book that came up in the first season (the author died on the plane)? Oh yes, "Bad Twin"! Hmmmmm.
ben's man on the boat is indeed michael and he's not the captain. that's for sure. i think they're speaking of michael when they say "a person you never thought you'd see again". but then again probably all lost fans already knew he was coming back. as probably every lost fan already knew that the freighter is widmore's. pretty lame for a really sensational show like lost in my point of view. and btw i really love juliet. she's by far the best feminine character on lost. much better than annoying kate and claire.
I don't mind Claire that much, but yeah Kate is a pretty weak character. The best female character on the show is probably Rousseau. Sun is good too.
Along the same lines as Ben himself on the freighter, my initial thought was it was a future version of Locke that was on the boat. This would also explain more why Locke would let Ben roam free...If shown that his future self is allied with Ben, why not trust him now? p.s. yeah random things getting me out of lurk mode on here
did anyone else think that the apparition of the psychologist was actually the Smoke Monster? First the whispers then she appears out of nowhere. Then disappears. My question is...I have always assumed the smoke monster was neutral but why on earth did it seem to follow BENS thinking? Is he somehow controlling it? Wasnt he held captive in the "magic box"?
The producers have said that in the past that the smoke monster has appeared to at least one character as a person, so this is consistent.
OK, back on tonight and no Rockets game to go up against. Here's quote from Jorge Garcia (Hurley) about tonights episode. "As shocking as these scripts have been for us, nothing has shocked us more than the end of episode 7." I'm 99% sure I know what part of that is so don't click the spoiler if you don't want to know. Spoiler I know somebody dies tonight and that it's an original 815er. The last of the Oceanic 6 are revealed tonight, most probably Jin and Sun. I also know that one of the Oceanic 6 dies after leaving the island. We've already seen Jack, Kate, Hurley, and Sayid alive so it has to be Jin or Sun. And since there's a death tonight and tonight is their Flash Forward episode, I assume it's one of them and there's some shocking reason why or who did it. Next week marks the return of Michael and that episode will be Michael-centric. They started filming the new post strike episodes on. The first new one is scheduled to air on April 24.
Spoiler I could see Sun dying because of the pregnancy thing. Jin may make it to the states, but, being obviously very depressed, he could possibly take his own life. If it's Jin, it would explain the lack of people at the funeral as he doesn't have any family there.
Spoiler It doesn't explain why it's a small casket. It doesn't explain why Jack says he wasn't friend or family. It doesn't explain why Kate gets angry when Jack suggested she should have gone to the viewing. No, I don't think it's Jin.
How did you figure this wasn't a spoiler???? Seriously???? Yes, 95% of fans figured it was him, but still. For sure knowledge of an episode that hasn't aired yet kills the surprise for the rest of us. Please use the spoiler tags for this.....
I didn't say he was on the boat or is the inside man. That's the speculation but I don't know. I just know he comes back next week and that (for you) Spoiler Walt briefly shows up as well. They're going to reveal who the inside man is tonight but Michael isn't in this episode so it still may not be him.
I honestly think we haven't been shown enough to make any accurate guess yet. But the producers have said that they will reveal who's in the coffin. I'm guessing they're going to hold on to that until the season finale.
