This "quality win" argument is stupid. This isn't the NCAA Tournament.

If we win Championship, they will say:
    Spurs had an off series
Lakers couldn't get Bynum in shape fast enough
    Blah, blah, ...

    Who cares?

In fact, this also means that the rockets in Barry's mind is a very very good team. So, he thinks all teams that the rockets beat are the teams that they should beat.

The quality teams in Barry's mind might mean 95-98 bulls or 2000-2003 lakers...

do you have to have some sort of twisted remark to every post? I've seen this sweet or crazy remark posted a bunch of times. Identifying potential haters are normal and apparent in almost every sport's forum Ive ever visited. Is it such an annoyance when people say what they think about an anaylst's comments that you cant go without posts above?

    or

do you need every poster to on every topic to just keep their mouth shut if it differs from yours to be a satisfied clutchfan?

Dir is still part of their team. Yao isn't coming back this season.

What I meant was his reason for us beating Dallas was that they were without Dirk...basically discounting the a s s kicking we gave them last night.

Jon Barry is mad because Bob Sura was doing him in in the chicks department when they were with the Rockets.

Don't understand Jon the Waffler. First it was the Rockets will not make the playoffs and then it was they will make the playoffs. Now Jon is stating the Spurs streak is better then the Rockets streak and to show him a quality win in the Rocket's streak. I give up on the dude. C-Ya in the playoffs Jon, even if you will not like it.

More importantly: If we beat NO tomorrow, it means that only THREE teams in NBA history have won more consecutive games than this Rockets team.

Furthermore, if we beat NO and NJ, only TWO teams EVER will have won more straight games. And if we beat NO, NJ and ATL, it means only the '71 Lakers will have had a longer winning streak.

Screw all these ignorant media morons. Several teams have easy stretches of schedule every year. Phoenix had a soft schedule early this year, as did Denver. And while I wouldn't dare say this Rockets team is one of the best teams ever, it's a FACT is that this winning streak of theirs is among the greatest the league has ever seen. Soft schedule or not, this kind of thing is rare and shouldn't be the object of derision by people whose job it is to know better.

I love being the underdogs. It just makes it so much more sweeter when we prove the critics wrong. I wouldn't want it any other way.

Seriously, I think ESPN/TNT use shrink to evaluate the IQ and mentality of every guy they tend to hire.

As a candidate, you have to be mentally r****ded to satisfy the requirement.

No wonder ESPN hired Jon Barry, a guy who did not have related experience and was not an all-star player, to work for them.

Not surprising he would say this. He's a big JVG supporter. I don't think he likes the credit Adelman is getting with the streak so he's trying to diminish it.

These guys saying stuff like this are the same guys that said they wouldn't make the playoffs. They're not about to change their tune now and give credit where it's due. Pretty crappy on their part, but they get paid to make outrageous comments and stir controversy.

I don't think I'd go that far, Barry played for Adelman before he played for JVG. He's said many times how he loves Adelman and his system. He's just not well informed sometimes for an analyst.
