This year, the Rockets have won some very tough road games, against some teams that had our number the last few years. Winning last night in Dallas got me thinking.... @ LA - Shane Battier nails a dagger 3 down the stretch in the first game of the year @ Utah - With last years playoff memories still fresh, T Mac scores 47 and sends a message to the Jazz @ Phoenix - Steve Francis turns back the clock and makes a tough driving layup late in the 4th to lift the team to a victory @ Cleveland - Rafer hits 6 three's on his way to 22 points in our first game back from the All Star break against the reigning East champs. The streak lives... @ New Orleans - Tracy scores 34, and Yao goes for 28 points and 14 boards, WITH A STRESS FRACTURE! We beat NO by 20, and the streak lives on... @ Dallas - 0 for our last 6 against Dallas, we have 5 guys score double digit points in an all too familiar balanced win. The streak hits 17, and counting. These road wins are significant. This team has an inner belief in themselves that I have not seen from a team in the NBA in years. It is no longer just about one guy, or even two. I don't think we will be hearing any more "Its on me" comments with this team. It takes 5. I am so proud of this team and in awe of all of the adversity they have had to face to get to where they are right now. But it is where they are going that gets me going the most. Go Rocks!
Four of those teams (LA,UTA,DAL,PHO), I hate with a passion. Glad to see how we beat up on those teams.
don't forget we almost beat Boston if it wasn't for the late collapse. didn't we beat San Antonio, Detroit and Orlando there too?
