[Yahoo Sports Minute] Rockets props and 'the Jet's' lack of love

Media types saying the Rockets have no chance of winning a championship doesn't bother me at all. Frankly, I prefer it that way. I think it helps motivate the team and keep them "humble and hungry".

Maybe former Rockets Barkley and Smith are actually trying some reverse psychology to help out the team.

I think kenny got the old school mentality...since he won the championships with hakeem....he think you need a center all the time now to win...

Kenny and Charles really looked bitter last night for getting it shoved in their faces, especially after T-Mac burned Chuck with the "calories in a cupcake" line. They both sulked for the rest of the segment and refused to talk about the Rockets, choosing instead to dwell on the Mavericks and how they need to improve. It's not just about them being haters ... these guys have egos and it definitely hurts when you are exposed like that on your own show as an ignorant hack. I have zero sympathy though.

 

This is cool. Can someone please photoshop Kenny's or Barkley's faces on this guy.

 

Lol at Kenny and how, in an attempt to buttress his point that Portland also had a streak this year and is definitely not a great team, he fudges the numbers and says non-playoff team Portland had a 17 or 18 game streak this season. And the Yahoo robot host immediately responds with "great point". No, Kenny, it's 13, and 13 game streaks like Portland's are actually fairly commonplace, but 17 is tied for seventh all time.

 

Noticed that too... It's on purpose to play down our streak.

 

Yeah, Kenny doesn't watch the Rockets enough. You can tell by the way he talks about the team. Only naming Rafer and Tmac when there have been other key contributors like Scola and Landry in addition to Battier playing unbelievable defense during this streak.

I am sorry. I wouldn't pay much mind to TNT analysts with the Rockets as they have already picked their favorites earlier in the year and the Rockets were not one of them.

 

Tracy never said we would win a championship. He only said with Yao out everyone is writing us off but we still believe in this team. What else should he say. The Rockets are still winning and it would be stupid for anyone to think this team is going to drop out of the playoffs as people like Kenny have said. Yeah they may not win a championship but the Spurs may not win either. Also even with Yao on the team Kenny and Charles never thought the Rockets were contenders. So for Kenny to say the Rockets will not win without Yao is stupid and unnecessary.

Honestly, this is getting pretty damn annoying. Fat Chuck, Kenny the Jet, Screamin A, etc etc etc etc.....

WHAT IS UP WITH THIS ROCKETS HATE?????

 

Kenny and Charles have RARELY had anything good to say about the Rockets since leaving. I think they are bitter about contract issues and feel like Les Alexander cheated them out of some significant money. Dising the Rockets is a way of getting at the owner. If the Rockets win the Championship they will find some way to discount it. I can just hear Charles, "I'll tell you one thing, the Rockets are the luckiest team in NBA history, cuz they really weren't the best team, not even close." So, if you are waiting for love from Charles and Kenny, you have a long wait.
