    The thing more enjoyable with Yao being out is the the quality of the GARM here, though it sucks saying it...

    The pressure maaaybe slightly off McGrady if he falters again in the first round. Other than that, no advancement in the playoffs in more than a decade is still frustrating. Yao being out compounds that frustration.

    I think it has more to do with the fact that we haven't lost since Jan 27th.

    For your information, here's the last 22 games including that Utah lost.

    The 6 games withou Yao. Team average 11.3 TOs per game.

    The 16 games with Yao. Team average 12.5 TOs per game. Yao averages 2.8TOs during those games.

    we had more than half of our pts in the paint v. dallas. when we play good teams, i think the team makes a more conscious effort to penetrate and get more baskets in the paint.

    i think we scored nearly 60 pts in the paint v. dallas, who had dampier and some fairly good defenderes on the perimeter themselves.

    what I really enjoy is that these ROX have been counted out by everyone ...and seeing them play with such hustle, pride and passion to prove everyone wrong makes it that much more enjoyable. :D

    Here's for you people who b****es about Yao's TOs. The game without Yao, Scola been averaging 2.5 TOs per game in the 6 games. With Yao in, Scola averages 1 TOs per game in 16games.

    Yao wouldn't have that many TOs if he wasn't double or triple team. And half of his TOs are BS on the Refs part for not calling on guys hacking the ball out of his hands.

    I just love how ppl can be so creative when suggesting Yao is not actually welcomed here.

    For whatever reasons, many ppl are having fun not because we are winning, but because Yao is not playing.

    Are you enjoying more because Yao is out and we have little hope (if any) of winning the title?

    This is really a stupid thread. I can't believe I am replying to this. And I wish I could give this thread ZERO star.

    yes, this does not make any sense. Using the same logic, preseason games are more enjoyable because of less pressure to win. WNBA games are even better because you really do not care the who's winning at all.

    no you missed his point. he's saying that when you're winning everything is roses.

    and no, watching dampier clearing rebounds and scoring inside like he was an allstar isn't fun

    I'd say the only thing that's fun that we see that we wouldn't if yao was playing is old man river dikembe mutombo blocking fools and wagging his finger but I'd still rather have an inside presence as fun as watching deke is

    I can see the point of view that now that Yao is out, the expectations are gone and we can just enjoy the Rockets win or lose - and not get upset for them losing a game.

    Maybe that's the reason they are playing well - they are relaxed and playing like they have nothing to lose. The pressure is gone.

    It's not more enjoyable...but strangely enough, I share the same sentiments as the team themselves...we're kinda just all in it together.

    Their resolve, heart, and determination has made me more attached to this team than I have been since Hakeem's days.

    You are a true Yao hater. Remind you, Yao played 12 games in this streak. It's him to get it started.

    I think Yao out makes the GARM better because it took all the *** with him. No disrespect, I hoped Yao would see the season through healthy like everyone here, but since he's not playing, there's nothing for "them" to talk about.

    Can you guys read the thread before bashing the thread starter please, thanks. He explained exactly what he meant and is not even commenting about the quality of the team without Yao, but how he looked at the games on a lighter note.

    I wish I could pull this thread. Inevitably, any thread that raises a subtle or estoeric point is misconstrued and misinterpretted. So many people are quick to react but can't be bothered to actually read or think. For those of you that can't seem to tolerate it, I am sorry for throwing out something that required reflection.

    Grizzlies = no expectations
    Spurs = championship expectations
    -> Grizzlies are more enjoyable than Spurs!
