I hope the super delegates have taken note of the comments Hillary has made in regards to a fellow Democrat about McCain being better suited to be CIC. What a boneheaded thing to say.
I love the reactions from those latte Liberals and those college graduates. Love it, love it, and love it! Hillary is still getting millions of dollar and votes from ppl all over the country. She is still neck and neck in the race. She's found her footing and is slowly seizing the momentum. And yet those latte liberals are pissed at her because she is still running a very competitive campaign and their candidate just can't close the deal. You want someone to blame? Blame your candidate's incompetence throwing out the knockout punch. Don’t blame the opponent for keeping fighting. That just makes you guys look silly.
Actually it has nothing to do with her being competitive. In NH when she won, people weren't attacking her campaign style. I guess you don't understand that a lot of folks are tired of sleaze politics all the time, and would like to see a substantive campaign.
i understand it's perhaps impolitic if you're committed to getting a democrat, any democrat, elected, but it's hard to argue with the substance of the comment. McCain is quite clearly the most qualified to be CIC. in fact, he may be the most qualified candidate from either party since GHWB in 1988. to be fair, bob dole was exceedingly well qualified as well.
Actually I think the CC must be a leader, and the person who exudes the most leadership is Obama. He also has shown that he has better judgment than either McCain or Clinton which is another important factor.
Many people think that knowing how to fight or being willing to go to war makes one ready to be CIC. Yes, a good CIC must be a good leader and willing to fight when absolutely necessary. But an effective CIC must also be able to understand the big picture and longterm ramifications. It's like focusing too much tactics or a battle at the expense of the war. That talent, apparently, is very very rare.
This is true. It makes me more glad that I voted for Obama. My wife ,who voted for Hillary, doesn't like it either.
there's more to being CIC than having been a general. if that were the only criteria, the US Grant would be remembered as one of our greatest presidents. in any case, i was speaking about major party candidates, not someone who just ran in the primaries- and clark was a candidate for only about 5 minutes.
Hard to make points with Hillary when she has a popular two-term President as her spouse. The only person on that list with the power to change the current dynamic is Gore, and I have a feeling that he will eventually play a big part.
These are the types of reasons why I can't vote for Hillary: http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2008-03-06-clinton-library-foia_N.htm Both Clintons have a serious, serious lack of ethics.
Maybe you have the type of wife you can convert. She and I agree on virtually every political issue. Substantively we don't see that there is that much difference between Obama and Hillary. They are both cautious liberals. Therefore for my wife it is a woman thing.
For my wife it definitely was a woman thing - but also the Clinton factor for her being Latina. I don't think I can change my wife's mind. I've tried that already.
