I have to say this is perhaps the most dominant non-playoff preformance that I have ever seen. It was almost like God was rooting for him. The only Rockets moments that I can remember that are in that category are Hakeem b!tchslapping David Robinson, and Hakeem vs. the Sonics.

Because of this game and several others like it, as well as the lockdown 'D' on Jordan (remember when Jordan took a swing at him?) I can never hate Vernon Maxwell for being the punk that he is. Anybody else remember it fondly?

Absolutely-Max may be mad as a hatter, but he was one hell of a basketball player. He was fearless slashing to the basket. This guy had guts. If somebody made him mad anything could happen. He was a very important part of the championship run in 94.

Max will always be special to Rocket fans....

Vernon Maxwell and Charles Barkley are the two best non dedicated basketball players in Rockets history, if not NBA history. Vernon ate pork chops and drank all the time. Charles much of the same, and they both were phenominal.
