    Just spray some RAID on Avery, that should take care of him.

    I jump on the SpursReport forum from time to time to see what they're saying about us. There's a thread rolling right now about our game last night.

    Avery's coming down with a case of "controlitis" just like JVG. He's making it way too complicated. With JK, you hand him the ball, tell him to get us up and down, and you tell everybody else to run like h...., and look for the pass before it hits them in the noggin. Then you work with Kidd on the halfcourt sets during practice. Kidd is a leader. Kidd is going to be the leader of the Mavs.......unless Avery doesn't get over his controlitis. Avery really should remember Don Nelson and what made Nelson successful in Dallas. It's not all about D and grinding out the O. Avery took them in a postive direction initially after Nelson left by getting them to D up. He should have left it right there. Run Nelson's O and get the guys to D up. Now he's trying to run everything ala Pops except he doesn't even understand that Pops doesn't bear down until after the All Star break. I hope AJ makes the adjustment and opens his mind up a little bit more. He's a very good coach with potential to be a phenomenal coach, if he doesn't get locked in myopically, ala JVG.

    Especially when it's not such a secret in Dallas that Avery wanted to trade Dirk for Kobe this past offseason. Avery was vetoed.

    That's actually a pretty good idea. It's hard to imagine George will have this job next year, when Melo, A.I. and Camby either don't get you to the playoffs or get you booted out in the first round, again.

    Larry Brown is available, too. As much drama as there was between him and AI in Philly, perhaps now AI recognizes the importance of a good coach. Certainly these Nugs are way more talented then those Sixers teams (if still not close to his Pistons teams).

    The Mavs problem is if they let go of Avery who do they get? Unless they go after a Larry Brown. I mean Carlisle or Fratello or JVG don't help that team any more than Avery does?? It's not a coaching issue there, obviously.

    dallas-mavs.com, by far. You have to register to read but it's so worth it. The Rockets-Mavs game thread has like 700 replies.

    Considering the coaching job Avery has managed the last couple of games, maybe he needs a break. Seriously. Cuban should have kept his team together and hired Adelman when he had the chance. Too late! :p

    I don't watch Mavs games or care to defend Avery, but it seems like he's made them pretty successful during his tenure. The first-round playoff collapse is probably the most damaging though...if he does it again, you'd have to think Cuban will start considering a new direction.

    I wonder who posted this??? :p

    The Mavs season directly parallels a viewing of two girls one cup. (Google it if you are not familiar with it.) When it started you were all excited because of the hype, then half way through you are disgusted, but you keep watching because it has to get better eventually. By the end (present situation) you just want to punch the screen and are so disappointed that you got sucked into it with all the hype. The new addition of Kidd is like throwing an extra element into the whole 2G1C scenario. Almost like, “Let add some corn.”

    I am glad you liked it. The name I used was to make fun of my boy Regi who wants to work out in the same manner my wife does. Regi also doesn't like his real name showing up on the internet. I don't get what Regi's problem is. Regi if you are reading this why do you not like to see Regi on the internet?

    So I was doing some reading on the site and even made a post, the thing that I thought was the most interesting was the poll they had

    Where will the Mavs finish in the West?

    * Miss the playoffs (38%, 206 Votes)
    * 6th (14%, 76 Votes)
    * 7th (12%, 63 Votes)
    * 5th (10%, 56 Votes)
    * 8th (10%, 55 Votes)
    * 4th (7%, 40 Votes)
    * 3rd (5%, 26 Votes)
    * 1st (3%, 15 Votes)
    * 2nd (1%, 3 Votes)

    Good ol Mavs fans, greatest bandwagoneers in the league. The moment they think things are going south they all loose faith, if they do develop some kind of chemistry with Kidd and start playing well again, they will all eat there words and pretend like nothing ever happened.

    The Mavs seem to be tuning him out. Avery Johnson has had a lot of talent to work with and done a solid job, but I would like to see him coach in a different situation. Some Mavs fans are talking about Jeff Van Gundy as their next coach...that would be bizarre!

    To be fair you can say the same about the majority of this board.
