Obama’s connections to Ayers and Dorhn have been noted in some fleeting news coverage in the past. But the visit by Obama to their home — part of a campaign courtship — reflects more extensive interaction than has been previously reported. Ayers and Dorhn are extremist radicals from the 1960's anti-war terrorist group the Weather Underground, and they are unrepentant in the bombings they were a part of. They disappeared in 1970 after a bomb designed to kill army officers in New Jersey accidentally destroyed a Greenwich Village townhouse. They turned themselves over to authorities in 1980. While the Weather Underground claimed 25 bombings, these characters were never prosecuted. Charges were dropped due to improper FBI surviellance. Even today they remain proud of their violent past. “I don't regret setting bombs; I feel we didn't do enough,” Ayers told the New York Times in 2001. Obama does some nice double talk and condemns the actions of the Weather Underground, however he remains good friends with two of them that remain unrepentant for their actions. They helped launch his political career. It is apparent that NEITHER candidate is going to have the necessary votes to win the nomination outright. It will eventually be up the Superdelegates to choose the Dem Nominee. If they give the nominee to Hillary, All of the Obamaniacs are going to cry foul and of course the next thing that will come - is the RACE CARD. Here comes Rev. Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Farrahkahn, and of course Obama's Pastor at the Trinity Church, the anti-semitic Rev. Jeremiah Wright, to the rescue. Whether you would all like to admit it or not, Race is going to be a factor come August at the Democratic convention. So here comes that CHANGE Obama promised us. Too ironic. I have always been completely stunned how Clinton supporters can turn a blind eye to their repeated deception and corruption. I don't now how to word it graciously but I'll try; I guess I can understand someone supporting Clinton over others (since it's all relative), but I cannot trust and value the opinions (in the political domain) of those who think the either of the Clintons are 'awesome'.
I don't think the Clintons are awesome - I've NEVER SAID THAT. As I've said in past threads, this was the first time I voted for a Clinton and I am now regreting my decision to vote for her. Believe you me, I know all about the Clintons tactics and deception. However, after my wife had persuaded me to give Hillary a chance, I chose to vote for her in the primary and caucus. However, after witnessing what Obama supporters did and reading more about him, I've come to the conclusion that BOTH CANDIDATES ARE FLAWED. It's a matter of choosing or not choosing between the two evils - if I decide to stay in the democratic party. I was an Independent prior to this election.

There is no *real* Obama. He's totally fake. He's a media-generated hype machine. Heck, even his own speeches are pirated from others. He has no experience. Assumption on my part since you took the time to caucus for Hillary. As a leader, Obama will need to get control over his people. I have read nothing that has made me concerned about his character. What I like most about him is that when he speaks, it's not the pie-in-the-sy garbage that Hillary keeps trying to portray it as, it's that he actually thinks on his feet and uses his own words ... he is intelligent and expressing his own views, and more importantly his views cut through all of the cr*p. Everyone else, esp Clinton, has been fed the ALL words and rehearsed to create a facade which has nothing to do with who they are and how they will lead. Ever been in a debate where the truth was obvious to you, and the debate was seemingly effortless? IMO, that's the source of strength in Obama's oratory.
Ummm, why? Even Bill Clinton put a Republican as Sec of Defense. Obama has always shown interest in learning from and getting advice from the other side - why would it be different here? But speaking eloquently and making good judgments are two different things. Right now he's making some BAD Judgments in his own campaign. The guy was Harvard law, and could have made big bucks after college, but instead decided to go in civil rights, and community service. The closest thing anyone has to pin on him as politics as usual is he bought a house and so did some shady guy. Nobody in the case has ever said that Obama did anything wrong in the deal, yet this article is quick to label him shady over it. He also attacked Hillary on Wal-Mart. That's about the only evidence we have of politics as usual from him. That's a drop in the bucket compared to Hillary, and other politicians of the past.

Call me what you will, but I'm starting to pay more attention to these candidates. I'm by no means a willing Hillary supporter. I am more than likely not to vote for Clinton in the general election..I had my reservations before but was convinced by my wife to give Hillary a chance. After further review of the facts, I have and will continue to question Barack Obama. I didn't realize what I was bringing out are Hillary Attack points. So you are basically saying the Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, and other newspapers that I've been getting this from are WRONG? Well, that doesn't surprise me either as I don't have much respect for them either. However, it is what it is.
