[Charles Barkley] "McGrady is a better 'B' player than an 'A' player.

I am cautious to read too much into this win streak as well. Although i expected that dallas phoenix and spurs would soon be replaced by jazz rockets lakers. Rockets are playing excellent basketball but the lakers and spurs are playing championship ball. I don't think the rockets have played at that level as of yet but i love seeing them improve every game.

 

we are not peaking yet. tmac is still not there with his stamina/endurance. we don't have yao for the entire year and u lose that low post presence necessary to have a balanced offense to counter teams that do have that (lakers, spurs, pistons).

the chances of us winning a ring (or even a playoff series) is not very high this year. but as long as the team improves (esp. playoff experience for guys like scola/landry and rafer/head improving from last yr's disappearance), a 2nd yr under adelman should put us over the top.

I really like Charles becasue he tell it like it is. But I would say that what he said about Mcgrady he was dead wrong. I don't think he watched too many Rockets games to say something like that. A blind man could see that Mcgrady makes players around him better. And Tracy is a still an A player when healthy. Theres no doubt in my mind that hes in the top 10 players in the game today.

 

Even after we win they will say its becasue Dirt didn't play.

 

I feel Barkley really hates the rockets. Before, he always addressed this is Yao or Tmac's team in order to destroy the team chemistry. Recently, Tmac plays great team bball, and today he said Tmac is a 'B' player. Does he want Tmac play for his own stats and the rockets lose?

 

Theres no way in hell you can name 15 players better than a healthy T-Mac.

 

Mind you, we already won one against Spurs! Make the fact straight before you make a comment.

I think since the beginning of the season, or maybe last season. Last week he said we were TMac and a bunch of 3-point shooters.

 

Charles was right about this Cavs/Bulls game
he said the Cavs were in trouble after leading the half and Lebron scoring 26.
saying lebron didn't get his teammates involved enough.

that was so funny! if the words of Charles can destroy the entire team, you are complimenting him more than hating him. i doubt Coach Adelman in film session shows Charles Barkley's TNT statements. I mean, maybe if you were the coach and were so easily bothered. they wouldn't have film session about the other team only Kenny and Charles.

When he was a player, I really respected him!

But, it appears he does hate the rockets now. The hate might be from the love that he had for the rockets when he played here.

Anyway, he is quite ABNOMAL when he talks about the rockets now!

huh? are you kidding me? Your logic is all flawed. TMac is a top 10 player for two reasons. He can shoot the lights out EVEN WHEN he is double teamed night in and night out. Not every good NBA players gets doubled. Second, he averages 6 to 7 assists on top of that! That right there makes him one of the best players in this league.

 

Reggie Miller just said during the game. Siad he took offense to Barkley saying T-Mac doesn't make his teammates better. Just an FYI.

Ok, time to predict what's Barkley's excuse after we win this game. He already discarded the Nowitzki card, so I say he falls back to "The Mavs are not a good team right now."
