When TMac got injured and Rockets won some games, I heard "Are Rockets better without TMac?"

When Yao Ming got injured and Rockets won some games, I heard "Are Rockets better without Yao?"

I think we shouldn't only focus on the guys who get the big paycheck and leave out ("iso"?) all of the other hard working Rockets in the "Are the Rockets better without you?" discussion.

So, here it is, who are the Rockets the best without? That is, whose absence is most likely to make enable the Rockets to sweep through the playoffs (4-4-4-4) and become champions?

Yao. His +/- numbers are awful. It frees up our team to run, and obviously it is not hurting us defensively.

It really depends on who they're playing, I think of course that they are better with both. If they had to be without one or the other, I would "rest" Yao more against up tempo teams.

The Rockets would be so much better sans Weezy's greasy locks.

I do not know without whom the Rockets are the best. It is a common sense that Rockets need every player healthy to win more games and go deeper.

I do know without whom Clutchfans.net are the best: fans like you lacking common sense.

since yao's been out, we havnt missed a beat offensively, and we're better defensively. yao being out allows t-mac to be the undisputed focal point of the offense. it's good this way since hes such a good passer and can make teammates better.

This team would be undefeated with an empty roster. I mean look at this:

    Who can stop that lineup?

Wow, 6 times as many people would prefer Yao injured than Mutombo.

The answer is clearly Scola's hair.

The fact that 9 people have responded with Yao thus far is astonishing and ridiculous. I'm glad the Rockets are doing well without him and I hope they do well in the playoffs without him. However, even if the Rockets win it all without him - they're still better with him. Yao is the best player on this team, he is unselfish, and he makes those around him better. For all those who point to the 4 games we won without him, I point to the 12 beforehand.
