dude hatin on yao. he points to an estimate of yao's career totals by doubling his first 6 years, ending with a measly 15,364 points and 7,412 rebounds at age 33 (assuming his career even ends there) as proof that yao doesn't belong, but then goes on to praise alonzo mourning for totaling 14,306 points, 7,136 rebounds, and 2,356 blocks? great numbers in the blocks department and he's a soldier for coming back from that kidney transplant, but why give zo a pass for an injury when you're unwilling to do the same for yao?
what logic is that? why double the points based on his first six years when the first 3 years are usually horrible numbers. Even if we expect Yao to get injured as much as he has in the past (i.e. missed 3/4th of regular season), he should be way ahead of the projected numbers.
You all have to keep in mind this is Rick "I play fantasy leagues in my all my spare time" Kamla and you know he had Yao on one of his teams... He has to be irritated that he lost that solid fantasy contribution... I know I was sick!! Actually I think they are undercutting his numbers as well. Just something more for Yao to overcome and prove. He can do it.
Is it the basketball hall of fame or the NBA hall of fame? If the former, you could probably argue Yao would deserve to make it if he retired today...
