Stop the speculation, guys. It is the old fashion hard work and coaching help. See this article: What's great about Adelman? Quoted here: "That's why Carroll Dawson was allowed to spend hours working on an inside game with Yao Ming and Carl Landry. It's why personnel men Dean Cooper and Kenny Atkinson have done great things with Rafer Alston. It's these little bitty things that help in some small way to make a team and a franchise successful."
He gets paid alot more than Rafer, which was the point...but ok, quibble over the details. He gets max money and that's what's important. Rafer gets less than the MLE.
Yeah, I am with you that's a huge difference. Poprocks was way off in saying they weren't much different. You have been very good about it. Poprocks can see the disparity from the numbers.
I appreciate your honesty. I wonder how many of these people were trashing Reefer just a few months ago.
You always play better, and shoot better when the offense has more flow to it. The Rockets team under JVG didn't have much offensive flow, it's either dump to Yao, or hand it to Tmac. It was very hard for anyone else to get into their shooting groove while standing there watching & waiting most of the time. It was very similar early this year, the offense tend to bugged down when the ball went to Yao in the post, or TMac got into 1on1. It only started flowing better when TMac sat out with injury, and even better now with Yao out. This doesn't mean this team is better without TMac or Yao, just that the offense started playing better, have more ball movement, and more players involved. You feel more comfortable when become part of the offense, and start shoot better.
and the fact that Rafer's points have been a lot more consistent and Rafer is playing less mpg than Kidd.
lol i guess you know you're doing good when theres a thread after every game about how good you've been playing. or it could just show just how bad he has been in the past.
yeal rafer now more like enjoy the game that he leades,at least appeared at the right place the right time! but whats wrong about bobby? Everytime the ball went out lately, leaving no time for offence
My guess would be TMac, Skip could've done what he's doing long time ago. But quite frankly, what we care just keep it rolling.
It all goes back to when T-mac went out for a few games. Rafer as well as Scola and Landry were able to really assert themselves in the offense. Notice that that's really when we started taking off. Before, everyone would defer to T-mac and Yao cuz T-mac was initiating the offense too much and not moving the ball around.
Didn't the Heat turn down a trade for Rafer before or early in this season? Can you imagine what we'd be saying if he were now playing like this ... for Miami?

yeah, he's really 'evolving' as a player... great to see him play with so much confidence.. that 3 he hit was huge in the 3rd quarter - no hesitation whatsoever.. that put us up by 10 when the pacers were making a run
