I said this in the beginning of the year and will say this again. The only way we make playoffs this.. or any year is if we change the offense. You dont go far when the offense is to jack 3s and play rucker park style.

Of course, if the Rockets had used that tough defense that they played in the final few minutes of the quarter (excluding the very last minute) for 48 minutes, they would never have needed a game-winner. If the Rockets could somehow realize that it takes that kind of effort all game and every game, they could be an above .500 team the rest of the season. Tell me oeilpere, does Rudy EVER stress 48 minutes of defense? I haven't seen one game where their defensive effort has been consistent.

TMo can become a player if he can learn to shoot with some pressure on him. Right now he is horrible at that.

Right now he is a defensive role player, who can be put in when the other guys are playing well. As Calvin Murphy noted the Nets were deliberately playing off Morris, daring him to shoot. We saw what happened. It mad eit easy to double team Cuttino and Steve. TMo's future depends on him becoming close to an averge NBA shooter. He has other skills, but those aren't great enough to offset very poor shooting. It is hard to be a small forward with very deficient shooting skills.

Let's hope he can work on his shot. Does anyone know if Morris has a good work ethic and is liable to do so?

I have to agree that playing him in crunch time was either a sly form of tanking, or just trying to evaluate him for the future. It had nothing to do with winning the game.

Does TMo have a contract for next year?

I agree with Dakota, it was probably a lesson for Eddie as well. It also may have been an attempt to keep up Eddie's confidence, though that may be a lesson that is not needed.
