On one hand, I like this suspension because it makes winning vs them easier on thursday. On the other hand, I want to beat the Mavs at full strength to guage where we are among the best.

Nevertheless, five of my least favorite players in the entire NBA are still playing: Turd (Terry), Teeth (Howard), Dufus (George), Caveman (Stackhouse) and Urea (Barea) as I affectionately call them.

The playing field may not be leveled, but it is somewhat adjusted. Time for Red Lightening to strike.

This is no time to be a hero. We need every win we can get, whether our opponent is at their full strength or not. But the Rockets should be very careful tomorrow night, because those guys like Terry, Stackhouse, Kidds, etc. may step up big time in Dirk’s absence.

We are playing on the back end of a back-to-back and its on their home court. They should win. If we win, it's a statement game with or without Dirk. Of course, they are not better without Dirk (as a few have dared to suggest), but an inspired performance by the rest of the Mavs will undo us, if our boys aren't ready. Based on very recent history, our boys will be ready.

HAHA Dork's favorite performer is Hasselhoff. 610 is playing alot of his songs in honor of Dork's suspension.

    why are you so eager??

i kinda wanted to watch a rockets challenge...b/c i think luis scola could definitely contain dirk

    and deke could handle dampier

kidd definitely lost his game, no prob for rafer and tmac,

but jerry stackhouse and josh howard are really gonna tire shane!!

You guys know we do have to play the Pacers first right? 17 game winning streak? Lets first hope it gets to 16.

I don't like this at all.. not the fact that dirk isn't going to play but the comments in this thread is seeming very familiar from throughout the years..

    confidence is one thing

but being glad a player isn't playing and writing off the current oponnent usually isn't smart. like inknown commodities

Hopefully they don't take TONIGHT's game anymore lightly either, heh.

Put me in this school of thought. Pacers gave the rockets all they could handle in Indy, Rockets only won by 3. Sure that was a month ago, but the Pacers probably feel that they can run with the Rockets based on that game.

As for the Mavs, I'm not willing to write them off without Dirk yet. Houston will have to play great team defense, shoot as well as they have been during the streak and also make clutch shots/stops at the end of the game to win. In fact I think the Mavs might be inspired and play harder without Dirk.

Just my two cents - KO40A

OOOOOOK.....i guess i'm gonna have to be the one to undo this little doozy of a jinx. 17 is by NO MEANS a guarantee (neither is 16 for that matter), they still have Terry (who we have never guarded well), Stackhouse (who we have never guarded well), Howard (who we have never guarded well), and a certain Kidd who is a hall of famer.

Uh oh.... here we go, critics will again say that Rockets has not racked a quality win over a real full strength playoff team (some say NO is fake  )

As I had said when I first saw that foul, he should be suspended.

Hard foul is acceptable but taking a player down by the neck while he is in air is uncalled for.

Pansies should not try to act tough.
