I never trust any early poll (like month early), which is useless, just pay attention to the poll comes out around three days ahead.
With all due respect, that seems like a biased perspective. For one, she's doing a lot more right now in Ohio than squeaking out a victory. Second, Obama led by 4-6 points in every poll in Texas last week, and had brought Ohio within five across the board. Obama was favored heavily in Texas last week and about 50/50 in Ohio. Voters who made decisions in the last three days broke for Clinton by 61 percent. I'm not saying I think Clinton is going to make a major move based on tonight, but is it a victory compared to what things looked like for the last couple weeks of campaigning? If it holds, absolutely.
I wish I could be a sheeple like most of the GOP members. They hate McCain, but they'll vote for him without hesitation.
Well I'll go with that, a victory is a victory. But the gap in Ohio is closing a little, and Texas, whichever way it breaks seems like it's gonna be a nailbiter. And then Vt and RI are washouts. So it doesn't seem quite the decisive victory she needs, but a victory nonetheless. Obviously the chances of Obama sweeping the rest of the primaries were pretty slim. But it does seem pretty evident that the Clinton camp seems to push the "goalposts" further and further back. And judging by tonight and from what I gather about Clinton (granted I'm admittedly a political lightweight), they'll look to continue the fight.
I voted Huckabee... and you're right (about the November voting part.... wrong about the "hate" -preference for some was Huck, but we didn't ever "hate" McCain... in fact about 60 - 73 % actually loved him -Repubs are loyal to the party, historically more than Dems are to theirs. Reagen anyone?). Without hesitation... that takes bravery, integrity and dedication... not peer pressure and public opinion. If the Dems would ever get it together, they may not get caught with their pants down by March, but rather have a nominee come time for Texas. Republicans, trust me, knew it could be McCain from the start... and we're more than willing to vote the man in, as will "thinking independents and Democrats." McCain has a 24 year pro-life voting record, will understand the military situation even more so than dubya, and is not afraid of taking on the Dems head on. Scared yet?
it's all about momentum. he had none. he was depending on winning florida and going from there. basically he put all his eggs in one basket, and got his ass whooped, cuz he's not even near qualified to become president. bill richardson should be president...too bad it's a popularity contest
if hillary cominutes to win RI 60-40, wins Ohio by 15 points, and wins Texas by over 5, i think she's in good shape
Are you kidding? Either Democratic candidate will beat McCain, IMO. I think Senator Obama will beat him more soundly, if he gets the nod. I also see the Democratic Party making huge gains in the House and Senate. Scared yet? Impeach Bush.
In Texas... not just in Harris... forget about Collin and Dallas and Tarrant counties? Bexar? Harris ain't the only one... and the Dallas TV has shown several caucus meetings here that have picked Clinton. Hee hee heee Heeeellary! McCain '08! (Don't you wish your party was decided like mine?)
