Nah. There's not a huge market for 5'9" shooting guards past high school...lol. Couldn't/can't dribble well enough to run PG on a college team either. However, my coach did have some connections to get me a scholarship to one of a few D-II or D-III schools, but I declined. In retrospect, probably the wrong decision...but it's a long story. The short version is that my high school coach made me hate basketball. Speaking of high school, does anybody have stats for Chuck? It's always funny to think that even the most insignificant NBA player (ie. Ryan Bowen, Pat Burke, Calvin Booth) were stars in high school. I don't see how Chuck couldn't have averaged at least 15 rebounds a game.
I was never able to find it game log stats online anywhere... though there was some stuff about each game of his senior year when he was being recruited. Most of it is gone now. Here are his high school stats (from the UK "about" Chuck page in the programs)
I'll say even if you can shoot, there's still at best a 50% chance you hit that 5th shot on your 10th try.
Probably took Chuck one hour to shoot 10 3s, 10mins aim one shot, plus a 10min break, that poor security guy, had to watch the whole thing.
