Very good. In general, people are being more aware of the importance of registering your patents, copyrights and trademarks. On top of that, people are creating more things. The market for lawyers is tight now, a lot of firms are hiring less summers, so oddly corporations have a better pick at the early litter. A few major firms I know have laid off most of their people who dealt in sub-prime (no big surprise) and people in real estate investment, derivatives and such are starting to get laid off. And Bingsha10 and others who got into law school, congratulations, it is a good step to a career path if you play it smart. The best advice I can give is to be modest, don't think you know anything or are automatically a lawyer because you got into law school. Even when you get your JD, you still know nothing b/c law school teaches you very little about being a lawyer. Just because the credentials make people think you are one, doesn't mean you are one. It only helps you open doors, but as long as you are constantly learning throughout your career and improving yourself, it is one of the few career paths that will pay off financially based on how you improve yourself and if you make yourself an expert in a particular field. And don't let the ranking get to your head, experience and hard work counts more than anything. The school name will open doors, but won't walk you through them. I was a bottom fifty school and I have top ten school interns that I supervise. They won't be getting job offers because they are sailing through the internship instead of working hard.
