Why would you think we would lose to Boston? They barely made it out alive on their last West Coast trip.
haha - all these happy threads were kinda getting boring - but seriously, no one really is taking our winning streak that seriously without Yao so I figured it would be an interesting poll. Looks like we got some folks here that won't have any part of talking losses.
how is this a buzz kill? i'm just asking how people think we'll do during our tough strech. are we for real without yao?
a 4 game lead over the nuggets with their schedule is pretty much unsurmountable for them to overcome imo, along with the fact that we are playing better ball than them having blown all 3 of our opponents with yao out leads me to believe we have nothing to worry about.
Dude if I have to explain it to you I will... You started a thread directly following the game where we just tied a franchise high in win streaks and the topic of the thread is predicting when it will end? Sorry but that is just bad form....nothing personal though. That ranks right up there like going to a funeral to hit on chicks...you just don't do that kind of stuff.
hmm why do you feel the need to include Yao in most of your posts here? Anyways, even with Yao, we are not expected/favored to win against Dallas, Phoenix, Spurs (check our record against the them with Yao) and now Lakers. Anyways not sure who do you mean are ''not taking our winning streak seriously without Yao'', if you watched the game tonight, the Rockets got lot of prop by everyone for beating a good Nuggets team.
I was just talking to my brother about how much time ESPN anb NBA TV spent talking about the Rockets. We're getting some love. We have a lot to look forward to, winning without the big guys is a big confidence boost for everyone. Will we lose well yeah, but for now enjoy the ride.
Have you been watching the last three games? We are as real as real can get. I definitely would not start these threads questioning our team strength without Yao at least until we have lost a game or so, don't you think? And yes it is a buzzkill...
I've been looking forward to this stretch. I'll take a wild guess and say 3-2, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's 0-5 or 5-0. My main concern is how we play after the stretch. I hope the guys aren't too demoralized (if it's a few tough losses) or too overconfident (a few surprising wins) that we start blowing the 'easier' games afterwards.
