melo is not as good as tmac. he can't perform in the playoffs like tmac has and make his team actually overachieve.

outside of scoring, he doesn't do much else. melo has always had talent on his team actually.

QFT. Also, I'm still laughing at Kenyon Martin missing layups and open five foot jump shots all game, yet having the temerity to bellow orgasmically after he goes up for shots and wag a finger at Deke the one time he made a great play. Just because you yell all over the court doesn't mean you're accomplishing anything!

The Jazz will most likely have the 4th because of that division they are in, but if the Suns and Hornets keep losing we have a great chance to get the 3rd spot. If Scola, Landry, Battier, Head, Alston, and Jackson keep up the scoring slack and McGrady keeps playing well we could still do some damage in the playoffs. Well see how we do against some good teams with the easy schedule diminishing, heading into a tough March.

I just want to say I love all of you!

The pain of losing Yao for the rest of the season seems a distant memory...

I have no doubt that we will go far. We might not have as many big-name talented players; but we do have big hearts all around and the best chemistry!

This was a great win. I like the way they are not letting up or taking ANY team for granted. :D

    notes on the game:

-mcgrady was straight up ballin' today. he was driving more and had that sick behind-the-bake fake in the first quarter for the lay-up. he carried the team at the start of the third quarter, and when they started doubling and trapping him, the team finished it off.
-the protection of the rim was outstanding tonight. battier's strategy of allowing carmelo to shoot jump shots was seeming to backfire in the first quarter, but i'm glad he stuck with him and really frustrated him. rafer was chasing around ai, and although i'm worried about his defense on quick guards that can penetrate, tonight alston did well and the team cut off any lanes ai could begin to concieve.
-battier was on fire...and he wasn't settling for only 3-pointers. since the opposing team's small forward sometimes matches up with mcgrady, i love that battier wants to take advantage of having a shooting guard on him. he was wanting the ball last game with navarro on him and he was owning anthony carter. i love the height we have on the perimeter (2 6-8" players) and i hope battier builds confidence in his offensive game because i think we can exploit these matchups.
-as for scola, i was dissapointed that rafer or t-mac would ignore him in the post and swing the ball around the perimeter. i was expecting more 1vs1 opportunities for scola in the low-post with yao out, but mcgrady seems to be taking over that position. but he's definitely getting his shots within the offense, whether it's with a jumper or a drive to the basket from a sweet pass.
-deke only had three blocks according to the box score? he altered a lot more from what i saw...the protection of the rim was excellent, and even though it starts with him, i saw all the players really challenging drives and making the opponents reverse the shot. martin had a few dunks but there were several times where the nuggets threw it into the paint but were immediately surrounded.
-alston, landry, head...i love them all. wow! fifteen in a row!

GREAT JOB, Rockets!! 15 in a row, baby, and Indiana is next on Wednesday!

Keep playing with a chip on your shoulders, fellas -- it's working!!

The Rockets have the 5th playoff seed, but if the season were to end today, they would hold home-court advantage vs. the Jazz since Houston has the better overall record!!

Words cannot adequately how proud I am of this team!! KEEP IT UP!!

like all of us im really proud of these guys. it takes a lot of effort and concentration to go on a 15 game winstreak. hopefully we'll extend it to 16 against indiana and i think we will. then comes a real road block with the mavs and hornets.

great team effort - it's really heartning to see us play hard and continue to win. But beating Denver isn't all that impressive in terms of declaring us a great team.

Let's see how we do against Dallas, San Antonio, Phoenix, LA, and Boston. If we win 3 out of those 5, I'll be very very impressed.

Blazers hanging in there but too much Ellis and Jackson down the stretch.
