    Gasol and Gasol.

I like his post game a lot. He'd fit us better. But Steve and Cattoverated would never pass to him anyways.

There's no way Gasol will have a better career than Eddie. Statistically, he is better this year, but I'm willing to bet that this will be the only year.

Griffin has definitely been great for this team, but Gasol has been by far the best rookie in the game this year.

Wow. Tough one. Honestly, I'm more inclined to pick Gasol right now, but that's only because I haven't seen Griffin really play that much (I missed the game where he exploded against the Nugs).

To be brutally honest, you can't really go wrong with either, and I'm not real thrilled about having to face them in our division for the future.

BTW, this should be interesting to you guys. I know you guys have been complaining about Griffin not getting enough attention in the media (and some of that criticism is deserved), so you might enjoy this:

thanks for the site Nuggets4....although I knew all along those high schoolers would struggle in this first year. Gasol and of course EG are coming along nicely, but the high schoolers look to be a definite work in progress..we shall see in 3 years down the road.

Damn I hate to say it but Jefferson showed Eddie up again tonight. I know Eddie is much better than Jefferson but after all that s*** he talked in the first game I wanted Eddie to have a monster night to show him up. Eddie had his worst game of the season tonight

Isnt Gas 22 yrs old? Griffin is 19. I'm willing to bet Griffin is better at 22 then Gas is rite now.

Gasol is not the rebounder or shot blocker that EG is.

Nor does he have the shooting range.

He does run the floor better than EG though.

Also, Gasol has a great handle for a PF.

I think EG will be better by next year over Gasol.

Gasol might be better right now.

kidrock8, I don't think you've watched Gasol play. Griffin is only slightly better than Gasol in the shotblocking department. He gathers 4 or 5 blocks a game regularly (Gasol). In the rebounding department, I'd say they're equal. Gasol has the better post game. Eddie has better D, and better scoring (other than post). He's also 2 years younger. If Eddie improves his ballhandling and post game over the next two summers (as well as bulking up a tiny bit), he will be the most unstoppable PF in the West. Yes, the whole West. Yes, Webber, Mcdyess, Duncan included. But that's a BIG if.

Sane actually, I might have seen Gasol play more than you have, I have NBA League Pass, and plenty of free time on my hands. :p

It's amazing how the Grizz announcers totally gush over Gasol. Don't fall for their hype too much. I guess the Grizz have nothing to get excited about but Gasol.

Gasol is the best running PF I've seen in a while. Which might explain why his rebounding stats aren't great.

Gasol gets many of his rebounds when he is the only guy around the basket, and he gets it without needing to jump. I don't think he's a great rebounder in traffic, mainly because of his lack of bulk.

Part of what I meant by shot blocker with Gasol compared to EG, is that Gasol does not change shots like EG does. Statistically, Gasol gets as many if not more blocks than EG, but he does not change or disrupt shots like EG.

Gasol is bad ass this year he has it in the bag un less he get injured.

But I still believe Griffin will be better, in the long run. Plus Griffin is with a great orgfanization.

In a couple years Gasol will be trade bait, and start moving around the league. An probaly get lost a little.

I think Gasol has the rookie award locked down. it's a media vote and the media is enamoured with him.

Career? If Eddie does indeed become a center, then I'd say him right now because of the rareness of the good ones at that spot.

I have to go with Gasol (both counts) on this one -- ever since watching those videos of him playing in Spain, and talking with the poster from Spain, I've been really hyped about his game. I didn't expect him to come in and dominate like he has though. I figured he'd still be a year off or maybe two.

Gasol is in the game 42 min and is the number one option for the Grizz. He has much better stats but I don't think he is the impact player that Griffin is on the defensive side. Griffin would have much better numbers if Moochie and Steve passed him the ball more in position to score. He is doing great shooting the three ball but he doesn't get the ball with wide open 10-15ft shots or in the low post against smaller defenders like Gasol. He is definately the most talented player in the 2001 draft.

At the beginning of the year everyone thought the ROY would be Joe Johnson, then Shane Battier, then Jamal Tinsley, and now its Pau Gasol. We still have half a season left so it could change again.

It would be nice if we had two ROY in the last three years. It would point to the future that we will arrive soon...
