I woke up this morning to find the top three threads being three seperate Obama posts by basso. Of the last 25 threads started by the recently resurgent basso, 12 of them are about how bad Obama is. By my very quick and informal count there are 247 days between now and elections, which will occur on November 4. My question is, where would you put the over/under on basso threads about Obama before the elections? Please explain your answer if you feel you have some special insight into the mind of basso.
i can't claim any special insight into the mind of basso- it's all a bit of a mystery to me, however, i wouldn't necessarily construe those posts as "anti" obama, unless of course you'd think a proper vetting of the man and his positions a bad thing.
LMAO, there's actually a little bell curve forming around the 248-500 bin, with the obligatory spike out at beyond 2000.
i would like to place an inside bet and say that 75% of bassos threads will be repostings of random blogs. what is bassos blog/legitimate news article ratio?
As the possibility of Obama becoming president increases, so does his fear. Really, he has a lot more to hate about Hillary than Obama, but he is posting every negative thing because he knows if Obama wins the primaries, he's going to slaughter McCain. Notice also that the Liberal posters aren't really posting near as much bad stuff about McCain. I think because 1) He has a low chance of winning 2) Of all the Republicans out there, he is by far the least evil (I honestly think he's presidential, just the wrong time to be a republican right now).
Let's see... without looking at a calendar, I'd guess at 8 months until the election, 30 days to a month, at 2 new threads per day (it could be more, but I'm being "conservative" ), that's 240 days times 2. Adds up to 480 new Obama threads by basso. Don't let me down, basso. Impeach Bush.
I don't think that's necessarily true. I know many people outside this board that are upset with Obama and his policies. They're just not as vocal about about it as the younger Liberals out there. McCain also has a great chance at winning. Usually, the people with the most to lose vote in much larger numbers. The upper-middle classes and upper classes have a lot more to lose if Obama or Clinton wins because of the high rate of tax increases.
dumb thread liberals like to stifle any negative comments about their candidates, while freely doling it out towards the other side. The definition of hypocrite?

I wouldn't have a problem reading positive/enthusiastic posts on John McCain, preferably not solely dedicated to the Surge, if Basso had topics to share. Right now, it seems like he's spamming Obama pieces to cover up his dislike/lack of faith for the Republican front runner.
Well played and not the least bit expected from you !exxx! asso, does repeating negativity enough make it true? Nobody can hear you scream in cyberspace.
A much better number would be "Dem is bad" posts vs. "McCain is good" posts. I'd be willing to bet the ratio will be at least 15:1. (Edit: Meant to quote Invisible Fan's post)
basso is getting crushed today in the war of thread posting. the battle of the the mccain economics thread was a crushing and somewhat surprising defeat where he tried to play the bi partisan card. i think he needs to cut his losses, regroup, and wait for the GOP talking point supply line to replinesh he always has rezko, which he considers his failsafe weapon
