Why do so many of you want to break up Francis/Cat?

I don't think we should trade Mobley for just anybody, but...

Seriously, would you turn down McGrady for Mobley? You could, but you'd be insane. I know that such a deal is absurd, but what I'm saying is that he's not untouchable. If the right situation presents itself, like it did when we traded for Francis... we have to take the deal.

Imagine this scenario: Odom is coming to hate LA... Mo Taylor and Andersen are gone, and he demands to be traded. The Clips want a player at the end of his contract so that they can hire a free agent next summer. Do you make the deal? Of course.

Now, that's extremely unlikely.... but so was the Pippen deal, and the Francis deal. If a opportunity emerges, seize it.

I think the world of Mobley's heart, and his physical talents are entirely underrated (which is why he was still available in the 2nd round). But he's headstrong and impetuous. The best argument for trading him is that pretty soon, if not already, he's going to prove ineducable -- playing his own game regardless of how many times Rudy tells him to pause and think and make the decision that's best for the team. We've all seen it countless times.

Get control of yourself and pay attention to what the coach says, Cat. If you can do those two things, you're a keeper.

    Breifly,

"You are not my lead....." -- I take it you meant you are not in my "league".

"Have you ever stepped on a court?" -- Why yes, actually I've been on the Rockets hardcourt, twice! (go me!)

Look, if you want to discuss this issue with me rationally, I'd be more than happy; however, if you wish to continue with your piss-poor attempts to insult me, then I have better things to do.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go pray for our education system.

I haven't posted in months, but had to do so after the last snipe. Very funny! As a former English teacher, I too frequently pray for the education system.

    LMAO,

    SCH, That was Too Kohld.

However, I would have to agree on the part of him having heart as well as lack of judgement.

It takes time for people to mature, not one of Jason William's passes are the fancy. I don't think the boy has ever seen a 3 point line that he didn't like.

I can see the point of view that many of you have when considering Moble's game but , we have to keep in perspective that this is only his second yr. in the league and shows potential , a great deal of it , let's give him time to grow , lets not get rid of him because he goes wild once in a wile , its called "growing pains" people !

Mobley may still be a sophomore in the NBA... but he's not that young. I think he's 24 or 25... older than Francis, yet in most ways, his game isn't any more mature... perhaps less.

True That ! but, he could be 30yrs. old but that would still make him a softmore ! right?
Point is that the guy still has plenty of development left on him , his own competiveness and Franci's friendship will strive him to get better and better.. at least I hope !!

    I can't believe I missed this thread...GRRR...bad DaDakota..bad...

Here is my take, Cuttino is a player that is long on heart, and short on brains.

You don't win with that type of player very often.

Francis is signed for 3 more years, he will get over the Rockets trading his pal. In fact, Cuttino may leave anyway, as I am sure he wants to start.

We have 4 quality guards, and playing time for only 3. I prefer Drew's heady play over Cats...crazy as you wanna be...game.

Trade Cuttino for a frontcourt player.
