Yao and McGrady took a team with Bowen and Wesley starting to 7 games against the Mavs. And people think they aren't good together? BOWEN AND WESLEY STARTING.

And Sura as a starting PG. As tough as bobby is he's no PG. He can't even get the ball in to Yao.

ugh not to mention this team has absolutely no athletes to defend the perimeter. It's no wonder Howard and Terry tore us up in game 7.

Game 3 4th quarter was one of the biggest choke I've ever seen...

The Rockets just relaxed and let the Mavs pull a 20-0 run out of their ass.

If that were a real matchup...2008 Battier against 2005 Mcgrady would be an awesome matchup.

Is that true? I thought the run was in the third quarter. How much were the Rockets up in the 4th?

If Tracy were a little more tough minded and if we had the Yao of today, we would have definitely won that series.

It's amazing how some series change course due to a short stretch of play. And it's happened to Tracy more than it should, whether it's his fault or not.

Man, one thing I noticed too was that JVG was so intent on shutting down the paint, that the Mavs were getting an unusualy high amount of open looks out on the perimeter. I don't think JVG thought Finley and Terry were going to shoot such a good percentage.

I mean there's no need to double up Dampier. Also, as tough as Bobby Sura was, he wasn't a very good ballhandler, nor was Wesley. So the ROx had trouble bringing the ball up the court to get in their offense. That team had so many deficencies.

What's funny is that the Mavs got Jason Kidd because they didn't have enough shot crators in order to take advantage of their outside shooting, yet in this series JVG allowed them to have a bunch of open shots.

Man when your guards are wesley, barry, and sura, everyone is a shot creator for the other team. These guys just were not quick enough to stop penetration and they weren't good enough on the offensive end to justify their playing time. This team was just not that good period.

Juwan Howard would not have made any difference.

Gundy so stubborn...Continues to make Yao come out of the paint and defend guards even when they're scoring so easily.

if tmac plays that way, with this team, we WILL win one round.

tmac was jordanesque in that series and he did everything JVG asked of him on both ends of the floor. hopefully he'll do the same thing the rest of the way and others chip in.

if we only had this yao for that yr
