Why does Kenny Smith make such ignorant statements?

To upset people like you who take those TNT/ESPN BS way too seriously.

 

They both make their team better

 

yao seems to get the love from TNT now and mac gets trashed.

barkley and kenny - tmac is a ballstopper, does not make anyone better; only makes himself better; team won't be as good

i guess they didn't watch last yr when tmac led them to a 20-10 record without yao with lesser talent

That was some more nonsense from Kenny and Charles. I love Yao and have huge respect for the guy but the fact of the matter is that Tmac makes this team go. Even with the upgraded talent this team still relies on Tmac more than Yao.

I expect Charles to just repeat whatever he hears other "experts" say but for Kenny, a guy who wants to coach, to be this intellectually lazy is always disappointing.

 

Screw them. We need to win a playoffs series to get some respect, even if we did that with yao we might not get it if we win only one. I know this team is good and so do you. We just have to keep it up.

 

They are just mad because they feel they both got screwed contract wise when it came to playing for the rockets. Everything they say concerning the rockets are biased and root from personal negative feelings they have toward Rockets management... especially Barkley. If it wasn't for Cassell and especially Hakeem, Kenny wouldn't even be on TNT. If it wasn't for Barkley's loud mouthing ignorant statements he wouldn't be talking either. The whole point is the only guys that can do something about it is the guys on the rockets and they are confident which is cool.

 

They needed some reason to back up their opinion that we won't make it into the postseason, and, well, they didn't have one.

 

Yeah, Kenny does make some bone-headed statements sometimes. Charles I can understand, but Kenny? I don't get him sometimes. He's just not very smart.

Even more amusing was Charles trying to analyze the Rockets: saying Rafer's an OK point guard but they need someone who can "push the tempo". Hahahahahaha.

Then he follows that up by saying that outside of T-Mac, the rest of the team are nothing but spot-up 3 point shooters.

It's blindingly obvious that these guys don't bother to watch the Rockets play because they assume they're boring to watch and/or have a deep-seated resentment. Either way, whenever the TNT talking heads open their mouths to talk about the Houston Rockets, you can almost be guaranteed that garbage will come forth.

 

Yeah, charles said he felt bad for Yao, but the rockets weren't going to do anything either way. His main reasoning was that no team is gonna win the west if they're not a top 4 seed. Uh, Charles, we're like 2 games out of a top 4 seed.

They are just getting on Yao's bandwagon after Barker declared this is Yao's team. Last year they clearly said this had to be Tmac's team, because ... Tmac made the team better.

All of these "experts" will be proven wrong when the Rockets go on past the second round and into the western conference finals. Sure, Yao is a great player but losing him isn't going to make this TEAM going into the tank. We are still strong and will continue to roll.

I'm excited.

 

Kenny and Charles make me laugh most of the time.

T-Mac doesn't get his teammates involved, yet he has put up a number of double-digit assists this year even though he is our small forward!

And remember when they use to say Yao wasn't a legit force because he average 9 rebounds instead of 10 and then JVG called them out on it?
