Glad to hear we gone this done early, Davis was awesome last year and I think he'll do even better if AJ can stay healthy and if we can get a consistent running game going.
It's funny what a difference a year makes, the guy was on no teams radar last offseason and after one year of living up to his potential multiple teams were after this guy. I'm intrested to find out what the final numbers were because I heard the Raiders were throwing crazy money at the guy.
i think part of the reason why he stayed is probably b/c we gave him a chance here when pretty much nobody wanted him.
GREAT signing, happy to hear that he took the less money to stay with us. We only gave him $4 mill, when he was at least a $5 mill guy on the market IIRC>
Wow, isn't that a bit too much? I'm glad we signed him, but I would of offered 4 years, 12 mil - 5 guaranteed.
Look at it this way: When you buy a used car and pay more than the market rate, it's still a good deal for you if the car performs well. Let's hope he stays motivated with $8MM guaranteed.
Yep, this is a good move for us. Unfortunately Jerome has never been able to stay healthy and on the field either by injury on the field or of the self inflicted stupid variety. Jerome's a great talent but frankly he's a headcase! So sometimes that's the way it goes ... Definitely happy we got Andre D. back in the fold.
