I'd hold out for a 2nd rounder, and probably an additional pick as well (maybe 4th or 5th rounder next year). He's still very valuable to us in that we don't know how durable Schaub is going to be, and we have no other legitimate backup- so we'd have to draft or sign another QB.

If he were available, Rosenfels would easily be the best QB on the market right now. As it stands, Todd Collins is going to be the most highly sought after free agent at QB.

It's funny because at the end of the season I told some that we should trade Sage to Minny for Chester Taylor. I think Sage would be a good fit for them, or in Kansas City.

Ask for a 1st. I mean he is about as good as our Shaub and we gave up alot more for him.

Goodness. A 3rd rounder for Sage? I say we take it and package it with a 5th rounder for a second round pick. I can't believe we could even get a 3rd rounder for him.

Thank you for your contribution, Sage.

I say take it, and use a later pick on a project QB.

I'd hesitate to pull the trigger for less than a 2nd. Schaub concerns me with his durability.

Also this is the perfect time to bring David Carr back int....never mind...I can't even TYPE it with a straight face.

Hmmm...very tough call. Im completely on the fence. On one hand, a 3rd round pick is great and would definitely fill a hole. On the other hand, Im worried about Schaub's ability to remain on the field. If for some reason or another he sits out some games, we cant afford to have an incompetent back up. Sage is perfect for the job.

As of now, I think we should not take the offer and wait. Something better might come up on draft day. Now, if we get a 2nd rounder for him, then I would push all my chips to the center of the table and say "all in".

A 3rd is not enough for Sage. I think he's signed cheap for two more years.

    Don't do it!

there was a question mark at the end of the headline so that means even the writer doesn't know......I wouldn't say the possibility isn't there. :D

I agree. The Vikes have two 3rd picks I would want both to even consider the trade.

Randy Moss was traded for a 4th round pick, and people want multiple picks for a backup QB? If you can get a 1st day pick, you take it and sign some other backup QB like Billy Volek.
