i still wont truly give a damn what t-mac says.....he's spoken words many times through out his career. I just want to see it spoken on the court....no bad or lazy body language and giving 100% and he's good to go...
He hasn't played a game in his career where he didn't have the lazy body image..that will never change, nor should it. He is comfortable being that person, and if it helps him being the 28/6/5 player he was last year without Yao, by all means he should look as lazy as he wants.
I believe, and you should all believe too, in the team and in TMAC! . . Regardless of what TMAC has been through in the past, we must believe and have faith this year, because it's not just on him, it's on the team and him! "It's On Us"
I cant believe people even bash this guy...with or without yao he will play his game, he will come through when it counts (the playoffs)...he is going to elevate his game and show everybody why he is a top 10talent in this league.
Right....... If that was the truth we would have been out of the first round ages ago.... Tracy has yet to be physically or mentally consistent his entire career and nothing he says will make me a believer...... He is definetly a step closer in the right direction though.
I think a yearly 25/6/5, 28/6/5 last year with Yao out for 32 games, and a 29/6/6 career playoff average warrants him being called a star and a guy who elevates his game when need be.
Solid interview for Tmac. He knows what to say. Too bad he doesn't have that outspoken personality to lead.
not to mention getting bagged out for a game 7 where he did nearly everything for the team. FG-A FT-A 3P-A Off Reb Ast St To Blk PF Pts 12-25 5-9 0-4 0 5 13 0 2 3 1 29 The only bad part of that stat line is missing 0-4 from 3 point land. He shot a ridiculous %, has a 13-2 assist turnover ratio. Yet at the end of the day we didn't lose cause of him. We were close because of him. Its not his fault he couldn't get those last rebounds. How many people will still blame him for game 7 without rationalising it
actually in fact it wasn't game 7 i would blame him for. It would be how he was a non factor in some other games. Honestly some logic needs to be applied before you bag someone
it would be nice if yao chipped in more than he did last yr on both ends, along with the help of others. then we would have gotten out. tmac and yao were both to blame last yr. yao was a star last yr too u know.
Tmac had a great interview and I love that he does not give a sheet about what we think, nor should he.
Thats exactly right, T-mac copped more cause he said its on me. But honestly Yao was just as responsible. People are disappointed in Tracy Mcgrady's performance last year, but rarely do i hear how disappointed they are with Yao. I honestly feel if the Yao playing this season affecting both ends of the floor was playing in the playoffs last year, it would have been different. His rebounding and defence this year has been phenomenal
Tracy has been playing great lately(getting his team involved and playing within the offense, Running the floor), but throughout his career and even earlier this year it seems that he becomes complacent. Everyone jumps on and off the Mac bandwagon every year but it remains consistent that Tracy is inconsistent. Every season the same questions arise. Questionable attitude?, Does not run the floor?, Plays very little defense?, Takes bad transition jumpers? Defers to players that should not be deferred to in crunch time? I am ready to get flamed for this because Tracy has been awesome lately and maybe he has mentally figured "it" out in the last few weeks, but to ask why anyone questions Tracy Mcgrady's "game" is ridiculous. No one has ever questioned the guy's talent, just his attitude, heart, hustle. I am not sure what he is missing, but he has the talent of a Michael Jordan/Larry Bird/Magic Johnson/Charles Barley/Hakeem Olajuwon, but just seems to be missing something.........
mcgrady is actually a good performer in the playoffs it's just a combination of bad luck and bad circumstances that he hasn't gotten out of the first round. if we were in the east, he'd have easily gotten out of the first round already, but he'd still be the exact same player. it's a bogus way to judge him.
