It's a pretty good article, especially coming from Michael Wilbon. He has never been a strong supporter of Steve Francis, quite the opposite actually.

Before the draft, he trashed Steve for declaring and basically said he wasn't ready to play NBA ball and that he needed more "seasoning" at Maryland. I'd say he was a little off on that one.

Then after the draft, he came down even harder with the spoiled little rich kid routine and said that Vancouver was better off without him.

So now I think Mr. Wilbon is simply jumping on the bandwagon, after realizing that he was completely wrong on both counts.

His numbers are wrong, even counting the preseason the Rox were 10-18 when CB4 went down. I am not saying that the Franchise is not doing great, but CB4 wasnt junking it up until he was injured, he was putting up great numbers and a pretty good record for a couple of weeks leading up to his injury.

HoopGirl...I made that same point about Wilbon a few months ago. Its bad enough he considers himself a Redskins expert, and I have to sift through his junk at the Washington post, but the man wavers back and forth like a Flag at Wrigley field.

By the way, where in the heck is that in Pa?

    Dreamshake,

It's in Fulton County, the county that time forgot, about half a mile from the Maryland line. I went to college in Shippensburg, which should be a little more familiar.

But it's good to know that I'm not the only one who wonders how Wilbon got his job in the first place.

That Small College wouldn't happen to be Shippensburg University would it?

I used to hit some of the bars there when I was living in Chambersburg. You know, right next to the maryland border. Forgoten by time also.

    Dreamshake,

In the Wilbon article, doesn't it say that Francis was traded 4 weeks after June 30?
    Isn't that a mistake?

Dreamshake - Ship it was. The bars are still there. Exactly how long ago are we talking?

Mango - That's what I thought when I read the article. It was longer than 4 weeks, I do believe.
