I've been hyping this guy for awhile now and the more I see of him, the more I wish the Rockets would make a move for him. He gets very few minutes in Charlotte, but busts his ass and puts up good numbers. Just tonight in 14 minutes he was 3-6 with 6 points and 8 boards. He did have 3 turnovers, but also contributed with a steal, an assist and a block. At 6'11" and 259lbs., he's no slouch.

Here are some other tidbits from NBA.com

Ranks #12 in the NBA in Free Throws Per 48 Minutes(6.59)
Ranks #13 in the NBA in Free Throw Attempts Per 48 Minutes(8.65)
Ranks #14 in the NBA in Defensive Rebounds Per 48 Minutes(9.6)
Ranks #16 in the NBA in Rebounds Per 48 Minutes(14.5)

Take a look at his game log for this season.

According to Patricia's Various Basketball Stuff Jamaal Magloire is making $1,048,080 this season. Maybe a trade of Kevin Willis, Kenny Thomas and a pick for Magloire, Matt Bullard and maybe Nailon to balance things out???

We get the Bull back? That alone is worth doing the trade. Can't stop Bull!

I don't know about Nailon; he's been putting up some numbers this year. I doubt they'd want to let him go.

This is so weird. Since the end of last season I've been wishing we had this guy. If you hadn't posted it today, I would've.

I can't tell you how much this would improve us and them. Just one problem. We wouldn't trade Willis because he's what's helping Cato become a better player.

Charlotte need a backup C if they were to trade Magloire.

Magloire would be our banger/bruiser, backing up the C spot there, splitting minutes with Cato, while also getting some minutes at PF, but barely. This year, he'd have a lot more minutes to play.

I think a 3-way can be reached. Can anyone think of one?

    hmmmmmmm........Let's dream.....

Doleac to Charlotte, Magloire to Houston, KT or Walt to Cleveland?

Thrown in draft picks wherever you see fit, but no first rounders. Maybe a 2nd rounder from us to Cleveland?

To balance salaries, what if Cleveland threw in Bimbo Coles, and we threw in Moochie?

This guy would do wonders for our team, and I'm not just jumping on the bandwagon. I've had the same view since he came into the NBA.

    Thoughts?

    Tonight's line.

    25 minutes
    19 points on 5-10 shooting
    9-12 free throw shooting
    16 boards(9 defensive, 7 offensive)
    1 assist
    1 steal
    2 turn overs

I want this guy in a Rockets uniform!!

I didn't mean it the way you think I meant it JuanValdez.

I meant that can be done to balance the trade, last minute.

What do you guys think of the trade I proposed?

I don't know about the trade that was proposed, sounds too complicated, but I know I would LOVE to get Magloire. I think this guy will be a very good center in the NBA, much better than Cato.

If only we did ask Milwaukee to take him instead of Collier. I think he was taken n° 18 by Charlotte...
