I can't believe he was almost not a Rocket. I know he signed a very low salary for this year but based on performance it can go up. Wonder what it is now? Also it was just a 1 year deal and this up coming off-season he will be a free agent.. Man I'm scared to even think about what he wants :( Damnit Houston this is the one guy you should of locked up for 2-3 years at a rookie salary..

There will be a lot of FA this summer so he won´t be able to compete for much money, i think Rox will keep him for around 2-3 millon a year.

He will be a top 5 rookie by the year end, just cross your fingers and hope for the best.

Landry hasn't played enough minutes to be statistically significant.

That's why he's not ranked in anything. With Yao out, Landry will book a crap load of minutes now and he'll start showing up on all the lists once he's booked enough minutes.

DD, do you honestly think that the Rockets wouldn't pay him top dollar if he continues to play the way he is playing?

If all the fans have taken notice, then so have the sportswriters and especially the scouts for the other teams. Unfortunately, Landry is already on the radar.

Have you guys watched Sean Williams? I think he's averaging 2blocks a game in like 15 minutes....given he's also prone to foul trouble and can't hit his fts...

If landry can develop some shot blocking..then his skillset will surpass that of Boozer. You gotta love a big man that can hit a 15ft jumper consistently.

He's not deserving of the top 10.

And anyways, who the hell cares if he is or isn't on that list? Why do you need national recognition of some player? Does it make him better?

As rockets fans that watch the games, we know what he can give us and that's all that matters.

He's listed just outside of the top ten, it's no big deal. Granted, he should be above several guys in the top ten, but he's got to get more minutes to really justify it. Right now, people have a right to discount him - he's still at an average of 16 mpg.

This coming month, he should start seeing 25-30 minutes every game and that will tell the tale.

Landry got a 23.36 per, once his total minutes reach 500, he will be qualified for the PER ranking and will rank higher than Yao, Boozer,....People will notice him.

The problem is probably by next year he will be making more than Scola.

If he performs at a high level, why would you worry about paying him? Would people here have problem paying Boozer if we could get him? Geez!
