If the Lakers were eliminated in the first roung and so as the ROX and they offered Bynum for Yao, woud you accept it knowing what you know about Bynum's potential and Yao's Injury History. I think the Lakers would do it for Kobe to win now and the style they play wouldn't require Yao to put major minutes and avoid him being injured.

can we stop with these trade rumors every time it happens to yao and tmac?

morey said we will stick with these 2 for at least one more year.

and the lakers would never do that trade. yao is now considered an "injury-prone" player and they're not going to give up a potential like bynum, although yao is better now.

plus, the lakers don't need yao to get profits.

    No.

I'd look at Emeka Okafor maybe... but Bynum is another injury waiting to happen.

I'd do that trade regardless, and I like Yao. It wouldn't be a straight up deal though, we'd want more than Bynum in trade for the millions of Chinese fans/marketing dollars.

Need and want are two different things, and the millions of marketing dollars associated with Yao, are worth a high draft pick alone. Never underestimate the power of the marketing dollar.

When does trading season start again so we can again have trade rumors/ideas? Oh, this is the thread type that never stops.

I think the increased number of empty seats in Toyota Center every time we have an injury like that and the 11 year of early exits in the playoffs, and going young has to be factored in as well.

Absolutely not. Bynum's upside is not equal to what Yao is now.

Okafor is more of a PF, I do not think he will fill the void of losing Yao.

Yao now is an injured player that went down in the lst 3 years at the most critical part of the season.

I don't see greatness in Andruw Bynum. He might be a 20-10 guy, but I don't think he is special.

Maybe for Bynum and Gasol but not for Bynum.

He is just an injury prone and not even in the same basketball skill universe as Yao.

I think we have a tendency of overvaluing yao as rocket fans.

I doubt that the Lakers would even do Yao for Bynum straight up. Hell I would even take a younger center like Bynum and Dhoward to start my franchise and I love yao :(

Thank you for your support, he is no different than the other guy who is trying to be funny showing us that he speaks another language, which by the way I speak 4 of them, but I do not find it pleasing to to tell something to someone that doesn't understand what I am telling him.
