in the long run isn't surgery the best option? correct me if im wrong but I read somewhere in the huge Yao thread, that if he had surgery, it would strengthen the bone to the point where Yao would almost never have this kind of injury again. high 80% chance?
Yea......but everybody was thinking this was the year......and will keep thinking about this year.....Next year we wil be glad he had surgery
Yea the surgery is the best in the long run, but it still hurts that this had to happen at a time like this.
Yao will not be back this year. Accept that fact and move on. If surgery is the best long-term solution, Yao should definitely have surgery. At this point the best we can hope for is that Yao comes back strong next year and play a full season.
Why not rest it and try to play in the playoffs then have surgery when we get eliminated or win it all I agree that he should have surgery but if he can wait off and try to play in the playoffs....it would definitely help the team out.
Wish Yao can recover completely from the injury He always works so hard, running defense for all other teammates. Yao should know when he should try his best and when he should just relax himself.
You are completely wrong. Yao has done so much for Tmac. Look at Tmac this season, he just came to realize how he should play, very ironic, isn';t it? For your selfish thought, I can say if Tmac were not so lazy in the beginning, Yao would not be so tired to suffer the injury.
Our coaches and teammats really need to think how to use Yao. Limit his play time, when team is ok for playoff, let him rest some games. Look at Shaq, Duncen, they all limit their effort in regular season and put 100% in playoff.
That injury won't happen again. Who's to say about the chances of other injuries occuring, either a result of the same stresses that created this one or something entirely unrelated? Here's a good analogy: say you have a rip in your oldest pair of jeans, not caused by a fall but just by wear over time. Have you ever tried sewing that tear back together? A short while later you'll get a tear right next to it--that particular rip will still be patched up though!
The translation of the above post would be as follows: “What’s fxxxing wrong with Rox’s high level administrator’s damn head? So many trades for so many guards, but not a single substitute for YAO! Mother Fxxxer! Yao keep playing in the paint, which is utterly different from guards like TMAC. To carry so much on his shoulders and in the paint, no wonder Yao is burned out to death as the backbone in the paint of Rox. So many hustles, so many hacks! Not as easy as the stupid jump shots! Average 40 minutes on the court per game! Nothing, but the fault of Rox’s fxxxing administrator.” Dude, you are really angry , but you got it, I couldn’t agree with you more! Good luck, Houston! I still strongly believe playoff is not problem for Rox even without Yao!
If that's the best option available. So be it. I started watching NBA in 2002, the year Yao went to Houston. I'm kind of veteran NBA fan after all those years. In one word, Yao introduced me to professional basketball and it is a lot of fun watching games after a long week. I'm not a ***. After all those years, I also became a faithful Rockets fan. When Yao is out, I'll root for the Rockets. Let's roll. Ultimately, I hope Yao and the Rockets team win a ring.
