So... can Dikembe be talked out of his retirement plans?

He sure don't look too washed up to play another season. For an insurance big man, it will be difficult to find anyone better.

Can he be convinced to come back? I know family life and charity awaits him after retirement, but he seems to have a good time, whether playing or cheerleading.

Besides, as someone who gives a lot to charilty, an extra million dollar or so in salary can't hurt, right?

He can, sure is capable, physically. However, New York knicks coach Isiah Thomas has notified the NBA official last season that Deke's presence in the NBA is making young players such as Eddy Curry looking bad. The overall damage to the players are too much that completely overshadows Mutombo's contribution in the charity events. Thus we have to send him into retirement home.

The man made a promise to his children though. Deke wants to play, but we gotta convince his children.
