He knew Yao was coming back, like others have said. Face it, I'd like to believe. But I'm on neutral right now. The way Mac got injured on the team when they were 13-15 doesn't bode well for the Rockets.
T-Mac knew Yao was coming back after the injury. He could be there for the playoffs. So he had a reason to rise and step his game up. Yao is out for the season. All of a sudden, T-Mac doesn't have much to play for.
He can play for extending the winning streak to 16 so that he and Yao can make rockets history together. I think he is able to do that. If the rockets do get 16 winning streak and make a history, Tmac and other rockets will have enough confidence to fight for the rest of season.
Yeah, I don't believe that either. Winning streak aside, showing resilient character and willing this team to victories throughout the rest of this season and into the playoffs could make a convincing case to either keep him here for one more hurrah or elevate his trade value (whichever outcome he desires).
i hope tmac can realize he doesn't have many days left in the league. like shaq said to his coach, he only has 720 days remaining and no time to slow down. tmac should also realize that.
Yeah, he lead the team to 22-10, which is great. If he nearly leads the team to that margin, we will be satisfied. The only problem is how will Tracy McGrady respond in playoffs? I don't know, whole world is looking. There are two options: 1. He leads the team with passion and will like last year 2. Or he collapses under the pressure Since I think Tracy McGrady as one of the best all around players in the NBA, lead his team to playoffs, ex. last year, Magic, then we certainly have hope. On the other side I really so as T-Mac don't care how much he scores, and how is his stats but I do care if the Houston Rockets are winning or not, that's the most important thing.
He has carried a team with less talent into the playoffs in Orlando. Last yr he thrust himself into the mvp talk with scrubs. He'll be ok, they just need other people to step up. This isn't his 1st rodeo.
Its sad when a teams management has told you all that a TEAM GAME is reliant on one guy. That's the problem in Houston now, asking one guy to take on responsibilites of an entire team. If that's the case then we could've kept Assistant coach Gundy.
