Oh Brilliant! If we were on a loosing note, I wouldn't mind, but we are on a winning streak and this happens. Just ruined the whole season for me.
Did this happen durring the New Orleans game? Did this happen durring the New Orleans game? I went to the game in New Orleans Friday night and mid way through the 4th I remember a time out where NO took all their starters out but we put everyone back out on the floor. The guy sitting next to me who was a NO fan asked why in the world we had Yao and T Mac out there when we were up 20 and we started talking about that for a while. Sure enough within min he came ot and went back to the locker room limping. Now he came back before the end of the game, and played Sunday but anyway he did this against NO or was it later?
I am completely lost, distraught, depressed. The Rockets haven't brought me this much joy since the start of the Barkley era. I am truly heartbroken for the first time in a long time. This hurts and no one can understand except maybe a few of you guys. My GF laughed at my distress. I would have stabbed her if I still had the will power to care.
So sad to hear Yao is out for the season. I had been so high on Rockets on the win streak. But now???? Will history keep repeating itself? I believe this is his third time already.
There have been plenty of games that Yao's been pulled from because it just wasn't the right matchup. I believe we can still win with the talent we have. We might not be as dominant or might have to get creative in how we play other bigs but I have faith.
For fans that wanted Yao to play more in All Star game For fans that wanted Yao to play more in All Star game There is a reason why Yao asked Bryon Scott to limit his minutes at the All Star game: http://blogs.chron.com/franblinebury/2008/02/enjoy_yao_fast_if_you_blink_yo.html NOW YOU KNOW WHY Shame on the fans that weren't concerned about Yao's health and the Rocket's season. Yao's health and the Rocket's season should always trump his appearance at the All Star game.
I still dont believe it. I think the Chinese spies just replace Yao's negatives of CT scan to mislead the doctors. The Chinese government wants Yao to have a good rest before the Olympics.
Adelman should go small ball the rest of the season and see where that leads the team. He's very good at run and gun so might as well.
This sucks... We will have to rely on small-ball, good shooting and of course phenominal D. But losing 22 and 10 and one of the best FT shooters....it doesn't look good. These 1st few games will be critical to see how they adapt, if at all.
Maybe this should be it's own thread, but i don't want to start one because there's a flood of Yao threads right now. Just throwing this out there: Maybe it's time to consider taking him off the "Untouchables" list. I love Yao just as much as anyone. And I'm not saying that I'm an advocate of this. Yao's a great person, great player. The type of pro that you want to do well and is fun to watch play and develop. He's one of those guys who makes you enjoy the sport that much more. But this injury is tough. You know he's probably not going to be the same. 20+ and 10+ centers are hard to find now a days. But the league is getting smaller. Maybe it's time to see what we could get... ?
