What's the reaction in China?

    I'm curious how people in China are taking the news.

    How about it, Chinese Clutchfans and **** -- what's the reaction over there?

    People still have dreams about Rockets to win Championship this year

    They will be shocked by this news when they wake up in the morning.

    Some irrational bball fans might starting blaming. They may blame NBA for its brutal schedule. They may blame the Rockets for playing Yao 40 mins per game, night in and night out. Just like some irrational fans here. :D

    Some may get mad, since this injury may well ruin their hope in Olympics.

    Well I would bet that the Olympics are important to Yao so they should be to you too.

    there was no hope with Yao. Not for a top 3 finish

    However, of course they want him to play when they are hosting...understandable

    not sure.. read on another post that yao's injury stemmed from the game versus the bucks

    Do you believe the Rockets is a serious contender for NBA Champs this year? Even not, you still hope the Rockets can get into the playoff and can advance further than the first round, right?

    I believe the best result for bball Team China in the past is quarter-finalist.They bball fans there may not expect Team China to take the gold medal, not even a top 3 finish. But they do hope they can get some better results, say a semi-finalist this time. ;)
