Ok. We as fans obviously feel horrible about the news, but Yao poors his heart and soul in to basketball. Everyday he endures the pressure of leading this team and being an ambassador for his country. Now, because of another injury he will feel as though he let us all down. He has to be feeling depressed right about now.

These last three years have probably been hell for him because of all of the missed games and the constant rehabing...This guy works his tail off just to get back on the floor and the bad luck continues.

Personally, I just hope he keeps fighting. I understand how hard it is just to play in the the NBA, and Yao has had to endure alot more than your average NBA player. I really appreciate his hard work and his dedication to improving and helping this franchise, and I look forward to seeing him on the court healthy next season.

Feel free to post your words of encouragement for Yao.

    Keep working Yao.

Get well man, it wasn't your fault you kept playing 40 minutes a game. Keep a positive attitude and support your teammates who will refuse to give up this season.

Take care and please do not rush to get healthy. Take as much time as needed to recover 100%, do not think about the Olympics if it is possible you may be able to play there but don't rush the rehab.

By many different notions, Yao has been a successful bball player and a successful human being already! Don't get yourself too upset! Your future is still in your own hands.

There's always next season (seems like we've been saying that for many years now so...saying it again).

    THERE'S ALWAY NEXT SEASON.
    THERE'S ALWAY NEXT SEASON.
    THERE'S ALWAY NEXT SEASON.
    THERE'S ALWAY NEXT SEASON.

Deep down...we know it's not your fault, Yao. Keep your head up. At least you get to take a much needed break from bball...which you barely get breaks from it all year long between the NBA and China's team.

In the press conf the doctor mentioned one of the first questions Yao asked was what he did wrong, as in how did he let everyone down by causing this injury himself. Just like his play on the court, Yao is always thinking of everyone else (his fans, teammates, country) first.

I love Yao. I'm not Chinese. I love Yao so much for the way he approaches life, basketball, and of course the Houston Rockets. I'm not a ***, but I desperately want success for such an amazing individual. I feel like he is my family. Get well, you will be missed.

    Go Rockets, always.

****ing great! let the Yao bashing thread be started! This guy just worked his ass off, played w/ a fractured leg for 3 weeks, doing his best for this team for a 12 winning streak, now he finally fall down, and he had to take the blame for all of u ****ty fans.

i am soo ****ing sick and tire of all that complaints, just as much as i hated the ****ing Tmac-bashing thread when he was injuried, if a player is injuried, let him take the time to recover, i only judge an athlete base on his performance and encourage on-court

BTW, screw this game man... NBA where **** happens ;)

now Yao is likely to miss the Olympic, which is far more important (to Yao and to us) than this ****ty league w/ full of dramas.
