    Still shocked...

So, still think Gundy runs the players to the ground? I am just freakin destroyed. Wow...

This is bad news for someone else also...thats T-Mac.

If you push him hard, he will break. And thats spells crap for the team. So, the solution?

I think we need to trade T-Mac in the off-season. We need to get as many "Detroit Piston" type big men for him and on this team as possible. Maybe build a team like the Celtics have.

And then, get Yao healthy...and trade him the following summer. I just hate the fact that big men who have problems from the knees down become useless in about 3-4 years. Yao is so young, so you never know. But the fact that he is always injured so young is seriously bad news about his future. How did McDyess turn out? He is basically a role player after a promising career has been cut down because of lower body injuries.

Man, this sucks. But I will always say that theFreak has the best thread/post of the last 5-6 years when he started a thread asking how many championships the Rockets will win in the next 10 years. That was back in 2001.

theFreak said none. Many disagreed. Looks like Freak was right. Its just so hard to get rings. We should more than ever thank God that we saw the Hakeem years especially 92-96. We were truly blessed to have a championship contender for 5 years and came away with a couple of rings with some truly exciting playoffs.

We might have to wait a few more years before we experience that again.

This is just a horrible day for Rocket fans.

Why doesn't Kobe break down while playing big minutes? He's tough, that's why. MJ was the same. Players like Allen Iverson play big minutes too and they aren't always injured.

Because they are not 7'6 300lb centers who play basketball year round

I don't mind him sinking into Wlaton World if he gets championship and MVP like Walton.

When your two stars both miss nearly half the season every year it would be very difficult to compete in this league.

Changes may have to be made, whether it's trading one or both of them.

    LOL

You mean get a Hall of Fame PF who might be the best in the game, one of the best shooters in history, and one of the most underrated and most talented SG/SF in the last 10 years?

    I am DEPRESSED...so, I have a question.

I work on the 16th floor. If I open the office window and jump, would I fracture my foot? :(

Shaq's 7'1 320lb who plays bball for over 14 seasons! If you wanted to compare toughness. Yao is a softy, plain and simple. He will break down as he gets older. He isnt a natural born athlete.

Shaq gets to rest every offseason. Yao does not.

Nope. How many minutes should have JVG played Yao? 28, 30? He has only averaged 32 minutes a game for his entire career. Under Adleman this is the first time he has truely been run into the ground.

Lets just say is if you jumped from the 16th floor and the only thing happened is a fractured foot then consider yourself extremely (and mean EXTREMELY) lucky.

    Shady, I was just kidding.

Playing 32 minutes shouldn't run anyone who is considered a world class athlete into the ground.

Yao just has the bad luck of being 7'6", 300+lbs.

By the way, what was that other center that was huge...almost as big as Yao...Murasan?

He also had tons of foot problems, didn't he? Bad sign if true.
