    His bones are soft.

Seriously, I wish he is soft.

That way, he will actually sits out games when the condition isn't too bad or get early diagnosis and treatment.

It's a stress fracture, not a break. I wish they would disclose more about why he absolutely positively needs to undergo surgery, so that we know it's not just an operation-happy surgeon who thinks invasive procedures are the cures to all life's problems. Usually rest works to heal fractures, and this isn't a recurring injury as far as its anatomical location on Yao's body. I don't know why him coming back for the playoffs has to be so totally out of the question.

I made a comment that yao and tracy are high mileage vehicles. Their age doesn't indicate the minutes they have logged. Yao hasn't really been off for a summer forever.

Having Artest as that 3rd guy would be looking good right now.

We have the big guy carrying the team running 42 minutes a game with AD's style

He did it, not easy, I knew something would happen but didn't know it would be this serious.

Anyway, stop blaming the big guy, he did carry the team so we still have a shot for playoff.

otherwise we probably would go for lottery long time ago...

I kinda fish there Rocket might have this long time ago and just didn't disclose it to public.

Why do you think they trade Bonzi when everyone thinks we would be good with him in playoff.

Why do you think we just had a minor trade compared with all other teams in west

why do you think Morey said we would have a bigger trade in off-season

Face it, Rocket organization has already dropped this season

It all make sense now, Morey is genius.

Look at TD, he play less mins and rest more with better support cast.

if that was the case Yao wouldn't be practicing everyday, and wouldn't have played the last 2 games.

Tmac wore his emotion on his sleeve, Yao should learn to do that and this crap wont happen. Anyone have info if this stress fracture is a recurring injury, if so then that will be worrying.

See this is the problem here. Why didn't anyone do anything about it? Or did he not say anything? If I were him, I would complain about EVERY LITTLE thing to the docs. Just to make sure I'm healthy and in top form. I rather sound weak to the docs than have fans call me SOFT and FRAGILE.

Hate me for what? I think yao is soft, but this injury has nothing to do with that. Yao has been injury prone the last 3 yrs. I think it has more to do with his offseason commitments. All of balling without rest will catch up with a guy his size.

Once again I was told I was wrong and the chemistry was too valuable to risk, but artest would or could have softened this blow.

I think the correct word is "Injury Prone". I hate to say It but Yao is injury prone. Sure the majority are freak accident or whatever but that fact is that it keeps happening. Most, if not all of those injuries have to deal with his feet. We all know Big Man and Feet Problems go together like Peanut Butter and Hot Sauce.

Yao's injury needs an operation and play more times won't hurt it more because anyway there is an operation going.

Why this news are disclosed now, because it past trade deadline that our fans can't force Rocket to make a major move after Yao is gone.
