Not THAT big of a deal. Maybe we'll actually see Deke step onto the court now...

The Rockets have been playing spectacularly as of late and without particularly exceptional play from Yao.

... I don't think they'll have a shot at the title this year, but they'll still be a formidable team for anyone in the NBA.

somebody needs to get to work and design some badass shoes that can absorb Yao's stress.

As far as being a contender, the season is over.

We still have a good shot at the playoffs, but...does it matter? We'll get bounced in 4 without Yao.

    Seriously, what a terrible day.

how many more shots at the title does this mcgrady/yao experiment have? they were rolling...they were consistently improving.

it is absolutely THAT big of a deal. teams will play the rockets very differently without yao there.

I don't know if Deke can still play anymore, but maybe he can still log some minutes and give The People's Elbow to level out the playing field...

Why am I ignorant for being optimistic and thinking that this TEAM can continue to roll with the talent and coaching that we have? Chill out, it is obvious you are a Y O F and YOUR season may be over but MINE and the Houston Rocket's season will continue to roll.

so I'm buying a book in the text book store and I see a piece of news flashing at the bottom of the screen..........funny thing is I can't even really get upset...........Tracy and Yao are cursed...........I'm serious when I say that the team should think about trading both players......they'll never win anything here..........it ain't happenin...............

    Damn! Double damn!!

I open the front page and saw Clutch's short report on this. My first reaction was to check if this is April 1. Damn, I wish...

Now it's time for character check. Now it's time to see what we are made of. We can win it, man. We can win without Yao with EVERYBODY stepping up. Adelman's offense doesn't require a dominant low post center.

    WE CAN DO IT!!!!!

you can remain optimistic, but come on I didn't think this team would get out of the 1st round WITH Yao........they MIGHT make the playoffs, because of their easy schedule, but for what????.....they'll definitely get bounced in the 1st round.........I bet my life on it.
