Dude stayed here one more year to help Yao and be a leader for this team as he was hoping to make one more run at a title and now this happens.

Yes he will get some time over the next two months but dam.

I'm done with season tickets, can't take the injuries

    The season is not over.

The Rockets made the playoffs back in the when Cartwright took Dream out with his elbow. The Rockets put in an old man, Larry Smith and the Rockets did well.

The Rockets could still cut Deke and give him to opportunity to join a legit contender, if that's what he wanted. I think the deadline for that is March 1.

The season is not over. The team is currently running in a system that can allow one or two players out.

Rockets can and will make the playoffs but can't win a title without Yao

We can make the playoffs. 50 wins might get it done and that would require only a 14-12 finish. But what happens when we get there? We win maybe 1 postseason game?

Well if you're a Texans fan too then maybe your best bet is to stick with the Rockets. I still believe.

if dek can come in and play like he did last yr then at least we have a dominant defender int he middle, but we still lose 20 ppg. it is time for tracy to prove he is a superstar and earn his green. now i agree with DD its time to bring in mike harris. his size is what we need most right now. hopefully scola and landry will really step up and become stars durring this stretch. hopefully if yao has surgery now he might be able to get back for the playoffs. even if he is rusty we will be better off with him in. i havent lost all faith but it sure just took a big hit.  time for everyone to prove their worth like they did when mac went down. but this one will be harder to handle.

I'm glad we have chemistry. You can't make up for missing what's 7'6, this allows other players the chance to step it up. Landry and Scola I belive can put up 35 points together consistently without Yao because of the ball movement. The way teams play us defensively is now my concern. We know Rick has a strategy.

We are fine because we still have Tmac, we have a good team and a good center with Deke. I don't think production will drop off much and this team will continue rolling without Yao.

Hell no, let him play and earn a ring with us. I am pretty sure Adelman will insert him into the starting lineup tonight. It will be better to have Landry and Hayes coming off the bench than Hayes and Deke.

everyone's going to have to step up their game big time!!! teams will be focused on shutting down t-mac now... deke can only play spot minutes, we will have to go small from here on out unless we pick up a backup center
