I should clarify, he was on the radio TALKING about his new show to come. He hasn't even had one show yet, he was just on the morning show talking about it.

Beyond that, Stack is a short-haired gorilla. I hope we're playing as well as we are come next THUR.

I watched the Mavs vs Bulls last night, to kinda do that gauge of "we beat them, but they beat you, ergo, we're better than you" . . . kinda test. The thing that struck me was that Mavs couldn't put away the Bulls until like 2 mins left. The Bulls fought from 13 down to 4 down late in the 4th. Several times Mavs built a double digit lead, Bulls cut it to 2pts or 4pts. They did all this w/o Heinrich who was ejected.

The Bulls did cut the lead vs Rox to 8, but then we went off on them again.

Don't Stackhouse look like Lt. Worf from Star Trek?

What is past is past, a new day is dawning. Let's see how they do against the "new" Rockets who are more physical and more talented overall. We will find out soon.

Ok Rowdies, I want to hear a ""in your head" chant at the next Dallas game.

If anyone thinks for one second that the playoff losses to the Mavs are NOT in the players' heads, they are wrong.

Now, what Houston does with those thoughts is the kicker. Are we going to let it get to us so that we tense up in a close game? Or are we going to play harder, work harder, and try to take it to them even more to avenge those bitter losses?

Thus far, we have done the former and have wilted almost every time we have faced the Mavericks at home or in their building.

I believe Stackhouse's comments have merit. Hate him all you want, but they beat us handily nearly ever time we play them.

March 6 will be a very telling game. We'll see how that goes.

It's in two player's heads. Yao and Tmac. No one else on the team was even in a Rockets uni that year.

Heck most of our team were in college when that happened.

It doesn't matter if they were there or not. The fact is that McGrady and Yao, the two best players on the team, were. What happens when your two best players "fold" in the 4th quarter repeatedly against any one particular team (especially with the history in place between Dallas and Houston)? The team relies on the two stars, and if they falter mentally against Dallas, then the others fall in line right behind them.

There are exceptions to this, but Dallas drums us pretty good whenever we take the court against them. They have our number, and have for the last 3 years. We've beaten them just once in the last three regular seasons. Once in 11 (I think) games.

So my point is that Stackhouse may be a bonehead, but he's right. They are in our heads. Maybe not all of it stems from the playoff loss from a few years ago, but I can't help but believe there are residual effects from that.

Am I the only one that doesn't have a problem with these comments? Sure, it aggravates me a little but the truth of the matter is he's kind of right. They pretty much own us in recent history.

I think we could definitely beat them now and am not scared by them in the slightest, but I don't think it's unfair to say that Dallas pretty much owns us in recent history and that it's possible these comments are somewhat accurate.

My apolgoies, but Stack is right, the Mav's are in the Rockets head. It's going to take a Hornets like mauling to get them out. The major reasons for the last couple of Dallas's wins have been Stack posting up Luther and Rafer forgetting that Jason Terry can only go right and score.

Let Dirk get his against Scola by forcing him to drive the rock. Keep Shane on Howard is shooting miserably. MacLady must come to the game defensively against whoever the new 3 is. I'm not worried about Kidd or Damp.

JS comments did make sense. Dallas won that series by coming back from 0:2 with two HC loss. They are confident.

What's the record of last six matches between the two teams? Dallas 6 and Rockets 0. More embarassing, Dallas either blew out Rockets or come back big to take a close win.

Rockets must win the next game when so many fans in this board think rockets will lose this game. Dallas not only are in Yao/TMac head, but also in R fans head. Get over it.

Just hope Bass dont think he's got Yao's number.

I think we're better matched up now with the athleticism/speed. We can run with them & when we've got them slowed down, we're better off on the DEF side.

That's hilarious. He kinda got caught there didn't he. Stackhouse is an idiot, but good coming off bench for Dallas.. I wished they did trade Stackhouse away, then resign him . Dallas would not have his service for 30 days and that may have cost them some games.

Heh. I remember when Stackhouse tried to pick a fight with Clyde when he was a rookie. I suppose it was because Clyde had just spent the whole game kicking the kid's ass up and down the court. Always hated Stackhouse after that and he's never given me a reason to reverse that opinion.
