Thanks for posting those links, robbie. Now, I'm convinced joe is a bonafide "insider". I just hope the MRI is merely precautionary, rather than confirmation of something more serious. Joe's "brace for the wost" comment has me worried.

i'd think if it's something major, chron.com would've already put something up. must be precautionary in my reckoning.

I'm all for sitting Yao out tomorrow. I don't think we need him. Scola, Landry, and Hayes should do the trick.

Not saying the insider is lying but he kind of gave leeway that its not 100% likely something serious has come up. Regardless the big fella needs some R&R and I hope he gets as much as he can without sacrificing the Rockets success along the way.

Yao's played a few games after the Milwakee game and played reasonably well. If Kobe can play with a busted finger, Yao can play through an ankle sprain.

Anyway, my ponit is that this is no big deal and let's not make it one.

If he injured, he need to rest. Not to worry, we have Deke, a very good back up C while Hayes or Scola or even Landry can play centre. We'll still win games with them.

The one and only one game he missed so far in this current season was the loss to Utah Jazz on January 27 because of an upper respiratory infection, and that loss was just before the current winning streak of 12, with 2 of them (Golden States Warriors and Indiana Pacers) played before they played Milwaukee Bucks on February 2.

So do the simple arithmatic, Mr. Tsunami, if you know how to.......12 - 3 = 9.

That trainer's got some kind of contraption on Yao's ankle. Looks like an electric stimulation machine. That's just a guess, but it looks a lot like the device my physical therapist used on my back when I slipped a disc.

Gerald Green in the back on the right side means this was pretty recent.
