Lately when trying to listen to music it seems sorta strange. I can hear the background music and vocals better than the lead vocals...the lead seems to be in the background.

I think I've tried every button on the winamp that I can think of without any luck.

    Any suggestions???

Once music was only coming in one channel, I was cursing and banging my stereo amp that my computer sound goes through...
turned out I had the balance on the Winamp to the left and I hadn't even thought of that. Is your music going through computer speakers?
damn, that would drive me crazy.

    good Luck

I'm sure you've already tried it, but check the equalizer. That could be the problem. Might check your volume controls on your computer also and that the speakers are all hooked up correctly.

    Good luck!

Thanks...from what I can tell all speakers are hooked up correctly. And I've tried everything I can think of with the equalizer.

I have two desktop speakers and a subwoofer...I tinkered with those with no luck.

Have you checked DSP/Effect under Winamp options preferences?

    Smokey,

Listening to a cd through Media Player it seems to have the same effect so I don't think it's limited to just my WinAmp.

    Thanks,

I found the problem...it was under "STEREO WIDE" in my volumn properties...I had 3d audio checked...I think a game program I was running changed it.

    Thanks for the help!
